Novotel in Port Harcourt is ideally situated and fully appointed. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the food was abundant and delicious. The menu has something for everyone including the local Nigerian cuisine. It also has gym, pool, bar and spa and a lovely gift shop. Importantly, the POS is truly international and there were no issues in charging items to the room, paying on demand, or getting cash from the gift shop. The staff are attentive and friendly - even though busy. In Reception, Ms. Precious and Ms. Hope were very welcoming and always helpful. When my friends' children came to join, Reception gave them small gifts/toys - they were delighted. In the Restaurant Ms. Victoria, Ms. Roseline, Ms. Hope, Mr. Jude, and Mr. Perfect provided excellent service and hospitality. In Housekeeping, Ms. Rosemary, Ms. Glory, Mr. Samuel and Mr. Simple were attentive to keep the rooms clean and fresh and well appointed.

Cooling was poor and the tap in the bathroom only ran cold water. The shower control was equally below satisfactory. In addition, only one of the two elevators was working but was still not available to take personnel to 1st floor; could only return personnel from 1st floor to ground floor.

the room 214 given to was a night mare. once i come of the room the card can no longer open the door, not even the house keeper could.
