This was easily the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The property is old and badly run down. The carpets are worn and scruffy, the bathrooms are outdated and poorly maintained, and the bed sheets were old and covered in fluff from pilling. The room was stuffy, and there were molds which left me with a blocked nose throughout my stay. To make matters worse, the internet was unreliable and unstable, making it difficult to work. A few people had warned me not to stay here, but the hotel my colleagues booked was fully occupied, so I thought, “How bad could it be?” Unfortunately, it really was that bad. I’m genuinely surprised this hotel still carries the Novotel brand. It falls far below the standard I expect from the brand and is in desperate need of a complete renovation. I promised myself I’d write this review, and I hope it helps other travellers make an informed decision.
