Check in was traumatic, staff not knowing what they’re doing, not listening to what we’re saying.. room was dirty, with dirty glasses, maid service left the door open when they left, didn’t do a decent job cleaning the room, light was burned out in the bathroom, the front desk didn’t instruct maintenance correctly. Frontdesk didn’t answer the phone, when we went down, they were just standing there, chitchatting.. will never come Back.

Beyond the usual basic Ibis Budget setup, we had several serious issues. The room was very cold, around 17°C. There was no heating available, and the reception could not offer a solution or provide a heater. At around 7:00 a.m., a fire alarm went off. It was brief, but enough to wake everyone up. Then, around 8:00 a.m., someone opened our room door and came in without knocking or any prior notice. We did not manage to identify who it was, but this was quite concerning. The room was also not properly cleaned: there was sand on the floor. Taken together, these issues made the stay much less comfortable than expected.
