ibis Lisboa Alfragide 2 stars

The hotel is relatively basic but this is what I was looking for. The room was clean and convenient. The beds were simple and the comforter was full and warm. The temperature setting didn't seem to work. I ended up opening the window a jar to cool the room. There is parking on premise but not enough to cover those parking. There is covered parking for a mere 5 Euros. There is also a parking lot across the street. While this isn't hotel parking, it is available. The location is great. You can get to Belem in 10 minutes, Sintra in 20 minutes, airport in 15 minutes, and downtown Lisbon in 30 minutes (less when no traffic).

The Hotel was good, employees were friendly. The issue is the fact that the room had no Refrigerator.

My review on Google Maps: It's been decades since I last stayed at an IBIS. This time I needed simple accommodations for a nearby commitment. When rating an IBIS, it is important to understand their positioning in the hotel marketplace. Let's face it, a Pousada it ain't. But, what it sets out to do, it does extremely well. I'm reminded of the early Southwest Airlines days. You know what to expect and they deliver on that promise. During this stay, I was impressed with the room design. Simple but high quality. Like Southwest, IBIS believes investment in excellent maintainability pays off in the long run. The room is designed to be easily maintained. For example, the one-unit shower, toilet, and sink space has high-quality fixtures - all reliable and easy to clean. Breakfast was beyond my expectations. Good selection for every taste. I loved the pancake machine! The coffee machine was simple to use and it delivered a good beverage. (Unlike machines in many "high-end hotels" we've stayed at).
