Arriving at Mercure Campinas by car is always a terrible experience. There are never enough people to handle all cars arriving, a huge queue is formed that goes all the way to the avenue. Then, the honking starts. Staff is often unfriendly. Maintenance problems often occur - last time it was a chair with a broken leg. This time the curtain hanger was falling. Blackout curtains not wide enough to block light from the outside.

They make a cheese with the same spoon that they deal with ham. No respect to vegetarian or religious people that don’t eat pork. My cheese omelette came with pieces of ham. The chef told me that, sometimes, the ham pieces from another omelette gets stuck at the back of the same spoon. And there is cross contamination. Just unbelievable!

Accomodation was good as always, but connectivity was very unstable (both wi-fi and TV) making it very hard to work from the room.

The app didn't work properly for the booking. Due to that, I needed to pay a higher rate for the first night at check in. The loyalty program didn't work (the front desk has not offered me the welcome drink). Shampoo was missing and even after I alerted the front desk nothing was done about it. The saunas were on repair and no one told me about it at check in or offered me any compensation about it.
