We have been to Puka park many times now. It's a great place for us to get away from city life, even just two or three nights. There's always a nice friendly welcome. The unit you allocated to us had a kitchenette which was greatly appreciated.

Our party of 4 reasonably fit 70 yer olds arrived on Coromandel Peninsula 3 days before the cyclone hit the area on April 12. Conceptually the property is very good … living in tree house in secluded wooded area. However, in our experience, after traveling for 3 weeks .. and having more luggage than perhaps necessary, we found the rooms to be very small .. and, more importantly, very musty … carpet seemed to be damp underfoot .. and ultimately 3 of us end up with sore throats. Added to this, the maid service was non existent … while the restaurant and office staff were excellent .. and the food was good too! Unfortunately, our booking agent did not inform us that the property is built on the side of a steep hill .. which made the walk from the property restaurant a nightmare … and the walk from the car park at the bottom the hill brought out even more curse words!! While much of this was bearable … the room mustiness was totally unacceptable … and , I must admit, we will never return to this property

What a wonderful few days we had in our large, well equipped and peaceful chalet. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful and the meals were delicious. Would highly recommend and would not hesitate to stay here again
