Room very very basic dark hairs on sheet under douvet stained carpet and children running up and down corridors until stupid o clock in morning also noted group of pre teen children messing about with drinks machine and pouring lots of drinks out then leaving them around machine with staff oblivious

As a budget hotel, our rooms do reflect the basic requirements of a hotel, such as minimal facilities etc. That being said, I am disappointed to hear of your experience as it is not what we expect for our guests. I have passed your feedback over to our housekeeping team so that we can improve our services and ensure this does not happen again. In regards to the children, staff are unable to provide constant supervision for any child in our hotel. The safety and responsibility of children rely mostly on the parents or guardians. Parents of children in the hotel have been reminded of their responsibility to ensure that children remain supervised and respectful of other guests , especially during the night. I appreciate and share your concerns for the children using the hot drink machines and after discussion with my management it has been decided that this machine will be turned off outside of our meal times. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. We appreciate your sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future. I stayed for one night to attend a city centre event. The location of the hotel was ideal. Overall the hotel was adequate but is probably in need of a refresh as it’s a bit tired and functional. But it was reasonably priced and you get what you pay for. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

One room had lots of cobwebs by the wooden headboard, at the bottom The alarm kept going off around 10am not just once, All 3 rooms only had one towel in them and even after asking for more, we only received bath towels and no hand towels were provided.

From start to finish, to say I’m speechless is an understatement. No air conditioning only an old fan that barely worked, overcrowded, no towels and no pillow cases until 5pm, no working iron on any of the floors. Wouldn’t stay here again.

I understand that on the day of your stay, a linen delivery was delayed which resulted in our housekeeping team not being able to prepare rooms with pillow cases and, in some cases, towels. It was decided to check guests into the rooms so that they would have access to store luggage etc. and guests were informed on check in that housekeeping would deliver the aforementioned items, as soon as they was delivered. I apologise if this was not explained to you when you checked in. Stayed here 4 nights, only good thing was breakfast, firstly room was adequate, no hand towels available, only a bath towel, stayed on 4th floor, windows filthy on outside, Friday/ Saturday night a nightclub across road thumped out music from 10pm - 5am so if you are a light sleeper forget it. Parking was in underground car park at £8 up to 24 hrs, Menu was standard, recommended beef lasagne, no salad or chips just 2 pcs garlic bread - nearly a tenner.. Been there find it but not be back, forgot to say staff were friendly and courteous though…

busy town centre spot

arrival and check in all good. I do visit Northampton regularly as I have family there so I know its a lively place with lots of nightclubs. But I had not realised that our room backed onto a nightclub.not having air conditioner we had to have the windows open. it was Saturday night. Maybe not the best idea to put a middle age couple who were obviously not going clubbing in that room I could feel and hear every beat

Too Noisy

The second night was particularly noisy, with a large Wedding part staying at the Hotel. I lost half a nights sleep and had to complain, both to the night staff and the people concerned. Only one small lift was working, out of two, with no access to stairs, posing an extra Covid risk. The room was not serviced during my stay either.

The staff and rooms at the IBIS in central Northampton are superb . Bedroom and bathroom are just what you need and the breakfast is absolutely fabulous. All the staff make you feel welcome and will sort any problems you have out and they are always friendly and polite.
