We wanted to check in as a walk-in. The receptionist said that wasn't possible. I had to reserve a room via a booking platform. But please make room, other guests want to be served. After I had reserved online, the whole check-in procedure started again. Then we got our room. It was a really long walk, especially since as a motorcyclist we always have to take all our bags with us and they don't have wheels. The room itself was clearly worn and had that old man smell. It was already late in the day, we were tired, so we stayed for one night. I can't make a recommendation. ----------------------------------------- Wir wollten als walk in ein checken. Der Mitarbeiter am Empfang sagte, das ginge nicht. Ich musste über eine Buchungsplattform ein Zimmer reservieren. Aber bitte Platz machen, andere Gäste wollen bedient werden. Nachdem ich nun online reserviert hatte ging das ganze check in Procedere wieder los. Nun bekamen wir unser Zimmer. Das war wirklich weit zu laufen, zumal wie als Motorrad Fahrer immer alle Taschen mitnehmen müssen und diese keine Rollen haben. Das Zimmer als solches war deutlich abgewohnt und hatte diesen Altmänner Geruch. Es war schon später am Tag, wir waren müde, also sind wir für die eine Nacht geblieben. Eine Empfehlung kann ich nicht abgeben.

I booked on line and payed £25, I traveled 40 miles to the hotel just to be told I’d put in the wrong date, and was asked for another £50, I didn’t have the £50 and had to sleep in my van, they didn’t even refund my £25, I do use Travel lodge when I travel, but this experience has put me right off, Michael K. stay date 16/07/24

The hotel is centrally located, close to train station and city centre. Its affordable, clean and with decent breakfast. I was given a room on the 4th floor at the back - it was very quiet so i had good night sleep.:)
