Stayed in this hotel previously and had a bad experience with the bed and the cleanliness (dust) during the COVID pandemic. Please to say that they have changed the mattresses so that you don't sink into the middle of the bed anymore. Vacuuming and cleaning was very thoroughly done on this stay as well - not a speck of dust to be seen anywhere in the room. On arrival into the hotel, we were the last to check-in due to a 5 hour delay in our flight; it was pleasing to have the check-in lobby staff greet us with a smile, make friendly jokes, and just generally give great service so late in the evening. Check-out was also fast, friendly, and just as efficient. Room was very clean and thoroughly vacuumed; bathroom also very clean. Cleaning staff also vacuumed the morning after. Hotel is located in central Wellington and can be accessed via the main entrance on the Terrace. There is an elevator that connects the hotel down to Lambton Quay with a bus stop right in front that enables guests to take the Airport Express bus, and all other public transport in Wellington. If there is anything to say that needs to be improved, the hotel could probably consider a renovation of the elevators that access the rooms. It is very tired and dated. This could also extend to the service elevator that allows access for guests to Lambton Quay, though, I suspect that the hotel management would have to negotiate with the owner of the building. Other than that, pleased to say that there has been an improvement, and will consider staying here again.

Very friendly and professional staff, great clean rooms with awesome bed. It was also my wife's birthday, so the hotel team surprised us by gifting us a lovely birthday card and a lovely slice of cheesecake with happy birthday written on the plate. This was a lovely gesture that was waiting for us when we returned to our room. The cleaning/service team were also fantastic. 10/10

Good, small issue with the TV

Expected TV to be hooked up the media bay thing so i could use the HDMI input, but it wasn't. Weird to have that bay but not hook it up. I solved the issue though by carefully removing the TV from the wall
