pleasant staff, all staff that I spoke to were helpful, polite and very neat and tidy . The room I had was very clean, lovely king size bed, I requested the terrace side of the building, very little noise.

Hi Jennifer, Thank you for the feedback regarding your recent stay at the Novotel Wellington. I apologize for the issues regarding your lost property whilst staying at our hotel. Since your original call, I have personally undergone a thorough investigation and then a follow up to ensure that no stone was left un-turned. Regrettably, this search proved fruitless. We do treat every claim of lost property with the utmost seriousness and having spoken with all staff members involved are sure that the charger is not wittingly in the possession of the hotel or any of its staff members. However, as a sign of good faith we are prepared to compensate for the cost of the charger. Location was good and check-in was hassle-free. Always a bonus when you are able to check in early :) One of the few hotels in Wellington that come with a bathtub minus the hefty price tag! Clean and tidy, rooms were spacious and would definitely stay again. Comfortable work station and speedy internet made it easy to work from the hotel as well.

The service is impeccable and the food very good. My only criticism is I do not like the 'nylon' teabags in the room and the milk choice and do not believe they are good for the environment and am considering bringing my own tea next week. I think more environmentally friendly options are available and the offset of the cost for using recyclable and compostable items should be standard. At least little milk bottles and their lids are recyclable or you could provide milk in a china jug - I realise that requires more human interaction/cost.

Good room, bad food, and poor communication regarding parking advertised as "free" but actually $25

Room was lovely and very comfortable. room service was cold and so was breakfast buffet. most disappointing thing was that despite google, booking.com and tripadvisor all advertising free parking, it actually costs $25 per night. when i questioned this staff admitted they knew of the error being advertised in multiple online sites but were still charging. this seems very wrong.

I have taken a look at all three of the sites you listed and where it does state that parking is paid on two of them, Google does state "free parking". The restaurant has already been informed of this and we have taken the necessary steps to fix this situation. As compensation, I would like to refund you the charges for dinner and breakfast as this was a preventable issue that unfortunately had a negative impact on your stay with us. The receptionist was able to have my room ready earlier as I had arrived early which was brilliant I am very grateful for that. The room was very welcoming with beautiful view Of Wellington harbour. The bed was very comfortable with a good choice of pillows.

Convenience in the city

Very convenient location with easy access to Lambton Quay with an elevator. Parking was tight but was at least available. Labels on the elevator were a bit confusing, e.g., my car was parked on the level called "Terrace" and not in "Novotel car park". The door to the bathroom creaked loudly.
