This was my second experience with an Ibis budget hotel. First time in Barking though. It has all the basic things that you require in a room. However, I would like to suggest that if possible, the room should be equipped with a kettle at least, if not the whole kit of tea/coffee making facilities. Clean and warm room. Thank you

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting my stay was short it was just right. From the time I arrived it was straight forward.

Cleaning needs serious attention !

The price is very good , The hotel is well located , but the service is very poor and lacks cleaning. The breakfast is quite reasanable and the parking is very convenient. I PROBABLY WILL RETURN JUST BECAUSE OF THE PRICE.

Dirty room. Lucky I had wipes so cleaned table, bathroom-they put used toilet roll on stand. Shower wall dirty. Bed was clean. Parts of floor dirty. Unfriendly staff. £1.00 for a 500ml of water. That's all.

Hello, I am not sure if you wrote the review for the right property because to me it does not seem like for our hotel. We have very strict cleaning standards in place with 2 steps cleaning and there is no way that you get a dirty room, even if the room was dirty I wonder why you continued to stay in a dirty room and did not report at reception? The price for bottle of water you've mentioned is also wrong we sell at £1.10 which we believe is a very fair price. Thank you.

Heater is preprogramed to 25C

Heater is preprogramed to maximum of 25C. It was so cold during this winter weather, I was shivering inside the room. Please, don't preprogram the heater during this winter season. I don't mind staying during the summer season as heater is not needed.

We booked Ibis Budget Hotel last minute for our workers, it was a bit difficult at the beginning due to Covid 19 and the fact that our guys were traveling for work but the staff at this particular hotel made it so much easier for them and us. We would like to take this opportunity to mention a few names who made our guys feel like home while they were away from home: Kristine, Adnan, Raluca, Ieva, Mehwish and I believe Denisa, a huge thank you to them for looking after our guys and making sure that they don't feel that home sick. Also we would like to mention the housekeeping services were great in terms of cleanliness and stock up. THANK YOU VERY MUCH YOU ALL!!! Spark & Plug Limited 😉😉

Good reception staff. The chain are the cheapest at the quality provided- clean and functional Additional parking of £7 per night is extreme having recently increased from £5- would score higher if not for this.

as i was tying to check in ,they asked for parking fee.please make sure you do your research before booking .as parking charges are written way in the bottom. thats what the lady told me at the reception .

Lack of professionalism

On Sunday 5 January 20 the hotel booked a cab on my behalf. It was agreed that the fare is 6o£.It seemed no booking was made. I paid 75£.The staff lacked professionalism. It is an irresponsible act when I paid more than agreed.

Had a twin bed room. Enough space for three more beds. So much air I didn't need to open the window. Struggled initially with the electronic key until I realised the self closer was very stiff and needed shoulder pressure to open the door. Got a little lost in the anonymous corridor on the ground floor. Helpful, friendly staff. Coffee OK.

Excellent value for money. very clean but basic rooms. Continental breakfast available but there is a full restaurant available in the hotel next door. The dinner/breakfast meal deal at the Premier Inn is excellent value

family of four , room allocation was poor . Inspite of requesting adjacent rooms , we were allocated rooms far away for each other. Room size is very small even for two . Time taken at the check in was too long (just 3 guests). No Shower gel . Not even remotely close to my experience during the previous stay at hotel next door. Regret saving few pounds for peace of mind.

The staff at the reception was very rude and unprofessional when I demanded to know why he needed sensitive details from my ID like date of birth etc as prerequisite for checking in. The staff threatened to return my payment and for me to look for another hotel if I refuse him access those sensitive details. Very very appalling. Will certainly think twice before booking into any other Ibis hotel in future.

This hotel is ok, but very very basic. The walls are sure thin and so movement in other rooms is really loud. my room was next to the coach park and the windows are paper thin so little sleep for my stay. but has parking for £5 which helped. I wouldn't stay agin,

Apart from the small room (expected) the main problem was the smell from the bathroom which we can only guess was the plumbing. the bathroom itself was a good size and cant fault the shower as it was powerful but the tray did overflow.

An excellent extended stay

I stayed here Monday to Friday for four weeks in January and couldn't fault the place or the people working there. From booking, to arrivals, to departures each week, everything was easy, thanks to the helpful friendly staff. My room was clean and bright, the common area for cooking and eating was always clean and welcoming. Wi-Fi was reliable and parking was easy. This hotel is right next to the North Circular and it was easy to get about from there either by car or by walking (15 mins) to Barking tube station. Also handy to have Tesco right next door. I'd definitely stay again.

Hotel smells funny and needs improvement and smiley faces

My wife is pregnant and we asked for a room closer to the start of the hotel, did they listen? They gave a room all the way at the back which was like a maze until we found the room. That specific area of the hotel smelt very bad, it made my wife feel very sick and even vomit, after trying to sleep for 4 hours we got up packed our bags and checked out. That literally put us off first time coming to ibis I can certainly say it’ll be my last. No effort by the staff to help us or say we’ll offer you a refund or money back, what kind of customer service is this ? Furthermore they don’t even smile and talk to you like your not even there. I’m speaking to you with respect and my pregnant wife is their we came to relax and you guys couldn’t care less or pay attention to details. I should’ve gone to Travelodge to be honest. IBIS barking is a let down the hotel smells funny if thick paint and damp and the staff are miserable for no reason.

Title says it all. Would happily stay again. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Room size was adequate for my needs (en suite shower facility was a good size). Only downside was the busy A road outside (day and night). This did not personally affect my sleep, but it did compromise the sleep of my colleague next door to some extent.

Poor Value for Money

I did not get value for money. The hotel was greatly over price for its quality. The room was basic and small. The check-in staff was trying to change the type of room I booked. I paid the price that I would normally pay for a more up market hotel.

Good value for money. Clean room and bathroom. Free Wifi and cheap overnight parking.Good AMBIENT LIGHTING SYSTEM.BED IS COZY AND WITH AIR CON AND HEATING. TOWELS AND SOAPS ARE PROVIDED. Room has a led tv with most european channels.
