Bathroom door jammed - so moved to another room, this has similar issue On second morning toilet would not stop flushing Staff were uninterested and had to be called out of the back room - will not visit again

Although this is a budget hotel it has a lot going for it. I had a late check-in and this was all fine and was pleased to see a welcome snack placed in my room. The location is pretty good but you will get some night noise from the area. The room was good and clean with a good shower. There is no a/c but you can crack open the windows. Good pub opposite (Lass O'Gowrie) with reasonable food so all in all a good option for a budget stay. Downsides - the reception looks a bit "halls of residence" - not in a bad way but I originally walked past it.

This was our first time staying with Ibis. Was a bit worried about the parking on Charles street due to the bad reviews. But, fortunately, all turned out well and the room was well equipped with all we needed for the 2 nights stay. Very impressed. Need to mention the staff handled our check-in was outstanding. Super friendly, made us felt welcome and he was very informative and helpful throughout the whole process. Frederick, his name is. Brilliant personality a huge thank you to him.
