Unpleasant service at a great location

We had a very bad experience with the duty manager CARL. We had arrived at 8am from a long flight. And told that our rooms would not be ready til 2pm. So I checked back several times with CARL and waited in the lobby. At 1.30 pm he told me in a very arrogant manner that the room would only be available at 2.00pm. At 2.00pm - he said with an astonishing absence of empathy or consideration for the long hours we had waited in the lobby, that the room was not ready, and we will just have to wait. We were not checked in, and no updates or any sort of consideration was given. Only at 2.15, when I demanded our room as promised - did another lady checked further and assigned us a room and checked us in. All this happened with an astonishing lack of service and consideration for a GOLD Accor member.

Fantastic location, right in the heart of the CBD so ideal for business or a shopping break. Lovely big room with plenty of space a big bathroom and comfy bed. Super quiet so no sleepless nights here from traffic noise, although they were having some work done and we were woken up at 8.30am one morning with a keen builder hammering outside the window before the 9am informed start time 🤣 - Breakfast was great- lots to chose from and all really good quality. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to return again.

Loved our recent stay at the Pullman Hotel on Swanston. Amazing location right in the heart of Melbourne amid shopping and great restaurants. Staff were super friendly and helpful and rooms immaculate and well equipped. GHD straighteners and fluffy bathrobes! Great breakfast with a la carte options included. Cool rooftop bar with city views. Will definitely stay here again.
