Stayed the night in Mercure London Bridge for an event in London and found my stay ok. The room was spacious and offered everything I needed for a short stay, nice large bed and a wonderful rain shower. One thing I did not like was the fact I couldn’t control the room temperature as this is controlled centrally during the cold season. This meant I was very hot in the room through the night, and when opening the window I found it difficult to sleep as the road is very busy. I think this should be adjusted to allow guests the freedom to control their room temperature. I used the bar in the evening where there was plenty of choice for drinks, and I enjoyed the 2 for 1 during happy hour - but the bartender was alone which meant we had a long wait for drinks to be delivered after ordering. Breakfast the next day was plentiful, some nice options both hotel and cold.

Hvac wasn’t working in the room. The room got to 25c. If I open the window it was then too loud (street noise). Internet and bed was good. Sound proofing was excellent Shower drained slowly and stood in water. Checkin/out was a easy Bed was comfortable.

I regret that you found the temperature of your room to be too warm and am very sorry if this prevented you from enjoying a good sleep. Our Mercure hotels have an ‘air cooling’ system in place which does differ from air conditioning and this system is partly dependent on the external temperature. According to expected weather conditions for the time of year, the heating was on rather than the cooling system.
