On both arrival and departure I found the young lady on the desk, Jasmin, to be enormously helpful. I am disabled and needed help with my two pieces of luggage. This young lady left the desk, came down to the car, put my luggage onto the trolley and took it up to my room. On my departure she did the same, in reverse naturally, and i cannot commend her highly enough. Edward Theodore

Good hotel and very central to great restaurants, shops, entertainment and sites. Hotel is a good sized pool and spa which the kids will enjoy. The parking is $27 a night which is very expensive and it can take some time to get your car as they are also parked offsite, some days 30-40 minutes. If you are travelling with a family and want a pool then its a great choice.

- Sub standard rooms - No Porter services. You had to port your luggage from carpark to room and vice versa. They couldnt even manage to bring up the trolly for us. We had to go floor to floor hunting for it... No compensation let alone an apology. - Receeption staff was nice but idnt compensate for their errors nor provide apology... -Restaurant and Bar staff extremely rude and arrogant. Food was scarce at one of the breakfasts. Its safe to say that we wont be staying there again....

Very pleased with the prompt service when we had a leak in the bathroom. Attended to quickly. Offered a room change if we wanted one. Disappointed with restaurant menu. Limited gluten free options.Side dishes were too large. Like a main course. Breakfast had even less options - gluten free bread, no fresh fruit. Coffee order didn't arrive after waiting half an hour. Gave up so left. Have stayed there on several occasions and had a great experience. Seemed to be a shortage of staff. I realise that it was a public holiday but 15% surcharge seemed a lot. Stayed previous night in another town at an upmarket motel and paid 10%.

We had a great time as a family at this property. Front office staff was very attentive, caring and super friendly. Also special thanks to valet team as well under the basement car park. Housekeeping staff showcased a pleasant smile everyday with genuine greetings all the time when we pass by the corridors, they cleaned our messy room daily to a tip top condition. This property got a hidden gem their swimming pool. Unfortunately I do not recommend the Restaurant located in level 1, poor service standards and horrendous staff attitude. I met two gentlemen called "Jay" and "Roshan" at the waiting staff, very kind and attentive for guests needs at all the times. This hotel located in the heart of the city and easy to access nearest attractions, eateries, and transport.

There was a very loud music from a nightclub that kept us awake til 4am!! We asked to be moved but we were provided with earplugs which really only deadened the sound slightly. We had a very interrupted sleep which was extremely difficult as I had a long drive the next day. We are Accor members and usually find we stays comfortable but this time it was not at all comfortable.

It seems like it was a long time since I last stayed in a hotel on a business trip. While I wasn't paying attention, the Novotel has become an expensive, middle of the road hotel that reminds me of business hotels in the US. I requested a disability room and it served my purposes well, although the water pressure in the shower was mostly indifferent. I requested that a blown light bulb be replaced but this had not been done by the time I checked out.

Over the years i have stayed with you frequently with good experiences however this stay was poor. The room had a noisy AC unit and a strong smell we could not stay in room and the relocation room was very tired. The bar was closed so no pre dinner drinks. I will now think twice to stay at Novotel on my next visit to Canberra.

Don't answer the phone (more than one occasion). Rooms were clean but worn (carpet with tatty edges and worn seams). Bathroom sparse and strange cupboard tea service arrangement, almost like the room was an afterthought. Staff were polite and attentive.

We always enjoy staying at your hotel. The beds are extremely comfortable and the room was large and well appointed. It is nice to have a bath at the end of a busy travel day. Within walking distance of the city the hotel is in a great location. No traffic noise ensures a good night's sleep. Thanks for a lovely stay. We will stay again with you next time we are in Canberra :)

Very friendly staff , once I arrived I was guided with directions to the car parking area . The staff were helpful in security my bag while I stepped out , location of this property is fantastic! Close to restaurants , cafes, shopping , you can walk to almost anything right in the heart My room was pleasant cleaned daily & the swimming pool area had a good vibe clean well lit with a good veranda to enjoy the sun.

The hotel is located right next to the tram, nice places to eat and shops are close. The only disappointing experience for me was the age of the carpet and furniture in the rooms. It would be an exceptional hotel with a good renovation to modernize it.

The hotel although in good location is in need of an upgrade. The buffet breakfast is average and not so good for a coeliac. The pool area is great for families. Need some robes in the rooms. No porter to help with luggage. Parking is too expensive and the spaces are shocking. You have to wait for valet to get car. Lots of areas for improvement, but i would stay again for the location because it's so close to the centre you can just walk to bars and restaurants.

Overall this stay was a very pleasant and enjoyable experience. It has been a long time since I have been away on a business trip. The room upgrade was appreciated and the welcome gift of a bottle of wine was a very nice gesture. Service, cleanliness and room appointment was good. Food at the restaurant was good - dinner and breakfast (although a bit limited).

Can’t say this was the best stay I have had at an Accor hotel. The bed was horrible, really thin mattress, so felt like you were sleeping on wooden slats below. Parking was expensive and while the selection for breakfast was good ( although the scrambled eggs were a solid block) the pancake maker was broken and service was lousy. Apart from seating me there was nothing else. There was no beveridge service and it was only when I was leaving that I saw you had to go to the counter to order tea, would have been nice if this had been advised at the start since most hotels take a drinks order at the table
