The worst hotel stay of my entire life, and there have been many, considering I travel frequently. 1. Breakfast was just bread, cheese, juice and mashed boiled eggs. We paid for 3 days of accommodation but we only ate twice because it was so bad. 2-We paid for dinner at the hotel for two days. When we got there, the receptionist told me that the hotel restaurant is not open on weekends (the website should not have accepted the purchase because they knew our stay would be on the weekend). Then she told me that they could not refund the amount, but that we could use it on preserved food in a transparent glass container. 3-Arriving in the room, there was a small towel on the floor, wet in the corner of the bathroom wall, another large one all messed up on the counter of the sink, dry. In the morning we complained to the receptionist before having breakfast and she said she would write it down to speak to the cleaning lady, but didn't pay much attention to us. 4-On Monday evening we went to dinner (our stay was from Saturday to Tuesday, 3 nights). The night receptionist is the only one who speaks English in the hotel and we had difficulty communicating inside the hotel as people do not speak English. Then she helped us translate the dishes of the day that were written on a chalkboard. 5-We chose our dishes and went to sit at the table, then she came and said that the dish we chose was over, could we have the other one with grilled steak and we accepted, she asked us to choose our drinks, we chose, then she came back and said that the juice we had chosen was over, could we have another one, so we chose another one, already quite upset. 6-The food arrived and was good, although the steak was raw, but the very polite staff took it and said he would ask his colleague to cook the meat more, which he may have misunderstood (we ordered medium), however, he was very polite and kind and the food was very good. 7-Before starting our dinner, the receptionist told us that we could NOT have the late check-out that we paid for. It would not be possible to leave at 4:00 pm because they would need the room, but if we left at 1:00 pm, they would refund the late check-out and the cost of the weekend dinner that she had told me they could not do. 8-When it was Tuesday at 11:20 the cleaner started knocking on the door, my husband tried to say that we would be leaving soon, when it was 11:50 she knocked again upset and my husband explained to her the situation with the little French he knows, remembering that the hotel check-out would be at 12:00 but they gave us an hour to leave at 13:00 in exchange for our later check-out and the refund. 9-That same day I started to feel pain from a urinary tract infection. 10-At 1:00 pm we left the room and my husband spoke to someone at reception who was not the morning receptionist. On the contrary, he was kind and informed us of the refund they were going to make. 11-Since I was travelling to Portugal this weekend and England's public health system is very poor, I waited to get treatment in Portugal. I did so as soon as I arrived, and the treatment cost me more than the reimbursement they said they would provide. I believe the infection was transmitted through the bathroom towel. In short, I don't believe that the hotel I was in was actually an Ibis hotel. I had never experienced such a lack of respect and professionalism in my life. To this day, they haven't refunded me. They asked me to provide a bill, so I provided my Euro bill because it would be in Euros, so I provided a bill to receive in Euros. To this day, when I contacted them, the receptionist said that they had already passed it on to the responsible department and that they would do it, without ANY further explanation. When the day starts to get dark, the receptionist locks the door and if you leave and arrive at nightfall, the hotel door is locked. You have to ring to get in. She sees who it is and opens the door for you. I don't know if this means it's a dangerous neighbourhood or not, but that's how it works. Not to mention that the smell of sewage from the bathroom was constantly coming into the entire room

We arrived and got settled in our room and discovered our toilet would not flush. We were going to be moved to a 2nd room but I inspected before we moved to find the toilet seat was broken. 3rd time the room was ok. We asked for more pillows because the pillows were very thin and not supportive. They said they didn’t have any. It was very humid and hot and NO air condition. We opened the window to be bothered by bugs and cigarette smoke coming in to our room. The Lift was scary! We were afraid it would break down with us in it anytime we used it. The lift door made a terrible noise as it closed. The lighting in our room was not good. Wondering why the sink was in the opposite side of the room from the toilet????? We loved and enjoyed the restaurant next to hotel, Twillsons.

Cordialement, L'Equipe Ibis Paris Gennevilliers

For the price, not fridge in the rooms, not microwave, was pretty difficult for us as we have a baby to woke up in the middle of the night to go downstairs and get hot water or to warm a food ,rooms has an unsupportable smell, staff was friendly! Also disappointed in the bed, felt uncomfortable during my stay. It was a bad experience. For the price they can do better

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your stay. We understand how important it is to have amenities like a fridge and microwave and we have fridge and microwave at the reception but not in the room. We are also sorry to hear about the unpleasant smell in your room and the discomfort you felt with the bed, but if you don't satisfy of your room, you have just to come at the reception to ask for change your room. Your comments are invaluable, and we will address these issues with our team to ensure improvements are made. We strive to provide a welcoming atmosphere for all our guests. We hope you will consider giving us another chance in the future. Best regards, L'Equipe Ibis Paris Gennevilliers
