The Perth Mercure has come out on the other side of COVID. Their team of staff are as helpful as ever - friendly (nothing was too much trouble) and very efficient. Their breakfast menu was excellent and the coffee was great.

My husband and I had a lovely time at the Mercure. The room was spacious and also had a big bathroom as well. And the whole place very clean. The location is perfect with walking distance to the city and great shops and great places to eat. Also close to the park and the river. Easy walk as well to bus, train and ferry if needed.

We were made to feel very welcome and we even took advantage of the Valet facility for the parking of our car. A lovely bottle of Red and a birthday card awaited us in our room. The bed was comfortable and Sunday morning buffet breakfast was the tops.

The front desk staff were all truly wonderful and accomodating, exceeding expectation regarding an accessibility request, prompt valet at various hours and thorough housekeeping. The room was spacious, beds/bedding were comfortable, bathroom is outdated and room had some signs of wear but was extremely clean and tidy with plenty of towels - no extraction fan in bathroom so it did become extremely slippery - housekeeping were great though!! Gym was well equipped, the pool and courtyard is a lovely spot to relax and we were lucky to have some stunning weather to do so although the pool was freezing, the kids still enjoyed a quick swim. (not easily accesible area - requires going uo two flights of stairs) The lovely ladies at La Cucina on Hay - were great and this time round we only had wraps and crossaints for a quick lunch but, look forward to returning to try the out the menu. Overall I was glad we chose the mercure and look forward to returning for our next city escape. (Hopefully Beccaria will have reopened so we can enjoy the buffet breakfast and the on site bar)

Not recovered from closure

The hotel was a Covid quarantine place for some time or closed and it shows. Water yellow and took ages to get warm. Main restaurant still closed. Same for the pool/gym area. Not a place to stay at this time.

Friendly staff - minimal facilities open probably due to Covid regulations and minimal guests We stayed in the old section of the hotel and the room was tired and due for refurbish - However the room was clean and comfortable

If there was a place to isolate, I don’t know where. With little option but stay indoors for a fortnight, the stay was made pleasant by the staff. The choices of food were good and always happy to help.

I was placed at the Mercure Perth during mandatory quarantine after returning to Australia from the United Kingdom. I was constantly impressed with the Mercure during the 2 week stay with them, from the ease of arrival and check in process to leaving after the quarantine period had completed. All staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. I would like to extend particular gratitude towards the various staff on reception and in sales who were happy to help and called for food preferences. I'd specifically like to thank Paul who helped me organise a new phone SIM card and extend thanks to Sandy who helped organise accommodation for me at the Ibis Perth once quarantine period had completed. I was also incredibly impressed with the selection and quality of the food brought to the rooms. This was something I was quite worried about as I had seen reports of other hotels around Australia and was concerned about nutrition and quantity of the food, but thankfully I was very pleasantly surprised. The Mercure have quite clearly hired some amazing chefs and support staff members. Thank you for making my 2 weeks fly by and I look forward to staying with the Mercure and other Accor properties in the future.

Disappointed with our stay

My wife and I were disappointed with our stay. Our car was left in a no parking zone by the valet for 10 minutes when we were the only customer checking in. When we arrived for check in there was no one at the counter, on checkout we waited for 15 minutes and missed an appointment due to having to wait for reception. Overall dissatisfied with our stay and will not be retiring.

We stayed to celebrate our anniversary the staff made a big effort to make our stay special. Cake wine balloons and a card it really was above and beyond. It was 10 years and a special because we actually had our wedding at the Mecure all those years ago.
