As above. Very nice accessible room with good and thoughtful facilities. Good breakfast covering most tastes. Being opposite the railway station is obviously convenient but it attracts a number of rather unsavoury characters along the street outside. No decent bars or restaurants nearby or sites to see. It might worry female guests travelling alone as the hotel has no restaurant, but a only a perectly nice bar.

Two negatives… - NO HEAT in room and room was freezing! Asked for an electric heater for room but the hotel didn’t have any. Asked the woman at reception for another blanket and she brought me a good warm comforter. - The room has a very deep bathtub/shower. No handle to hold onto when getting in and no anti skid strips on bottom of tub to keep from falling. I’ve fallen twice in these deep French bathtubs with no anti-skid in bottom of tub, when you use soap in shower a film of soap coats bottom of tub making it very slippery, like being on ice. This poses a very dangerous possibility for anyone taking a shower in one of the tub/showers. I hate those deep tubs with no grab bar to hold onto while showering.

NesligulD Friends getaway - TripAdvisor review

This Mercure hotel looks a bit run down and would look much better after a renovation. The rooms are comfortable and have the basic amenities including a free bottle of water. The elevators were interesting at each end of the long corridors! Breakfast was good with a good variety of cheeses, fresh and dried fruits, ham, bread, teas etc.
