The hotel is located in a convenient place & very clean. Can recommend for anybody who is willing to pay a reasonable amount compared to the prices for rooms in Paris. One small request please see when you are adding fittings to the room specially in the toilets you consider all are no right handed. I injured my fingers by trying to press the liquid soap bottle placed completely fixed in a very inconvenient place on the top of the sink.

Bedbugs and terrible service, badly run hotel

As soon as we got to the hotel, the front desk staff gave us a key and directed us to a room. We went into that room but the room was a mess, the bed wasn’t made and nothing looked clean. So we told the front desk and they gave us another key for another room. That room was a mess too, and the bed wasn’t made either. On the third try we got a key for room 440 and after going all the way upstairs the key wasn’t working and the door wouldn’t open. So we had to go down to the front desk to get a new key once again. We had bedbugs in room 440. Not only did we leave with bites but we realize looking back that we saw little stains on the sheets where the bedbugs were. Also, after the housekeeping staff made our bed one day, the pillowcases smelled like feet. It was extremely disgusting. If I don’t get a refund in the next few days I’m going to post a review with pictures of my bedbug bites and explain every problem in detail and give this hotel 1 star on every website imaginable. I’m extremely disappointed with the hotel after spending $300.

Our front desk team was alerted as well as the housekeepers about the malfunction that disrupted your arrival and welcome to the hotel. All have shared your comments and corrective action is underway. If you have experienced some problems when you took your room, we can assure you that all hygiene measures are strictly respected and applied within the framework of the COVID, and that our partners in room maintenance are particularly vigilant. The pillowcases are all treated by a launderer of international stature and reputation. All of our pillowcases are treated simultaneously, hence our incomprehension and surprise when reading your comments on "foot odors". We will redouble our vigilance to ensure that this exceptional phenomenon is not repeated. As for your comments on the presence of bed bugs, we are again extremely surprised, our rooms have just been completely renovated, for just a few months. The room 440 that you occupied, from October 1st to 4th 21, was also renovated before and after your stay without any remark from the other customers, either on the cleanliness or the hygiene of this room. Considering the seriousness of your assertions, we think that they would not have failed to inform us if they themselves had been victim of the same problem. It is however very regrettable that you did not inform us of your concerns during the three nights of your stay, which could surely have been handled more simply. The hotel is well located near the metro and some bars and restaurants. The room is clean and generally quiet. However on the first night we arrived quite late and mistakenly hit the switch for the bathroom heater. This is on a timer but seemed to go on for a very long time, more than 20 minutes. It was quite loud and disturbed our sleep. It would have been better to have an off switch for this machine.

Nice welcome. Even thought it was busy, the reception employee took the time for us. The room was clean and nice. The rooms are refurbished since our last stay 2 years back and now have a modern look. One point of improvement: the hotel bar was most of the time closed. We usually like to have a drink (e.g. tea / coffee / alcoholic) end of day before we go for dinner. Ofcourse there are plenty of options in the neighborhood.

Each time I go to Paris I like to try a different area and just explore around there. There was so much to do around the Bastille area and the hotel was perfectly located. Really easy to get to from Gare Du Nord and the Eurostar. In terms of the room I couldn't have asked for more really for somewhere in such a good location. Had everything we needed, bathroom was good, was really modern. Didn't eat at the hotel or use the bar but looked like a lot of other people were using it which was a good sign. So many good food places on your doorstep as well. If I'm back in the Bastille area again I will be staying here.

Had to ask for drink voucher for Silver status....receptionist jumped up, went through the back and presented me with a bottle of water on her return. She said that is what I got for my loyaly programme reward and laughed out loud. I was more laughing with me so I laughed too....quite funny, but quite a sad 'reward' in comparison to other hotels in the group! Quite hot in room....AC not working and too later and too tired to do anything about it!!

The bathroom is too small it’s a shame you offer such a small shower to people, couldn’t even put my arms in properly, do you think everyone is skinny?! Bed was a scam too, we booked a twin bed and they put 2 tiny mattresses of only a few cm.

Modern recent refurbished rooms badly maintained.

We had to change rooms 3 times. - Room 550 had no working A/C and had a persistent smell coming from the bathroom. We were told to leave the window open to get rid of the smell before we were moved to another room. - Room 617 had a broken bed with have the slats broken or missing. There where no cushion sleeves. The fan and heating were working the A/C function not. - Room 427 finally a room where everything was as it should be. Except for small maintenance issues such as the toilet brush holder falling from the wall. Except for 1 tiny bottle of water, we were not offered a voucher for a welcome drink of our choice. When asked about this the reception staff said that with COVID no vouchers are given and that only one small bottle of water is given per room irrespective of the number of guests. All this combined with the fact that you have too ask for rooms to be tidied makes the whole experience disappointing.

2nd time I've stayed and it is a nice hotel, the rooms are small which is typical for a city centre hotel, but modern and have everything you need. My room this time had air conditioning that was not very effective so I was a little warm at times, but I will certainly go back.

I love staying at Ibis hotels and I love the recently renovated Ibis Bastille. Staff are friendly and super helpful with transportation and attractions. The hotel and rooms are spotless. I travel solo most of the time and I feel both safe and cared for. I highly recommend.

No tea making facilities in room No umbrellas available to borrow from Reception Breakfast tables were slow to be cleared on most days of my 6 day stay Café experience was very poor - meal and wine selections were not available although still shown on the menu - even though few patrons were present!

The hotel was great, perfect for what we needed. I arrived late at night and they accommodated my check in as well as an early check out when leaving. The rooms were small but comfortable and had the essentials. Breakfast was a little expensive since I didn't eat much but there was plenty of options available. Overall a great stay.
