Last few times we have stayed here one lift has been out of service. As a wheelchair user this is an important feature in a hotel. This last trip the remaining lift was intermittently not working as doors would not open on level 2 and would return back to ground floor. I got briefly stuck in the lift on arrival and In fact on our departure my teenage daughter had to carry a large suitcase and 2 rucksacks down the stair from level 2 as due to my disability i need additional rucksacks for equipment etc as the lift door would not open at level 2 and she could not call the lift as it was at level 2 but doors stayed shut. In fact given that one lift has been out of service for a few months at least and the remaining lift is also not reliable we cancelled our future stay we had booked for the end of the same week as we did not want to have an issue with lifts or arrive and find their was no operational lift. Very disappointing that a hotel chain i stay in frequently has not got this issue with the lifts sorted and with one of the lifts being out of service for an extended period and not fixed and the remaining lift is not working properly it apprears that maintenance of the property in substandard. I did inform staff of the issues and they apologised but it seems like they are not in a hurry to fix the broken lift and i got the impression that the remaining lift issue would not really be addressed either. I will probably not return to stay with you in the future which is a shame as it is a really good location and a hotel chain i stay in often.

Good experience overall. Excellent value with good breakfast. V friendly bar and breakfast staff. Only one lift working and the one which was working had issues stopping at our floor so we had to walk up the stairs to second floor.
