ibis Bordeaux Centre Meriadeck Hotel 3 stars

Ok but one of the three elevators was not operative during the three days. Considering that covid restrictions limit the number of people in the elevator, the waiting times were too long.

Location: The location is good, proximity to city center, Tram A and bus lines. Staff: The staff are helpful, welcoming and nice Room: Bed very comfortable, size of the room is good, but the furniture needs to be renewed, missing fridge, kettle and coffe. No hand towels available, need to consider having as a standard 1 floor towel 2 shoer towels and 2 hand towels. Cleaning: The cleaning and house keeping are okay.

Friendly overall. Breakfast not too much choice,we also stayed at Ibis in Bayonne....there the breakfast have more choice. Room in Ibis Meriadick is not as clean as the ones in Ibis Bayonne.

As always when we need/want to stay in Bordeaux we stay at the Ibis Mériadeck. The price is exceptionally good for the standard and the central position makes it easy to get to places. The restaurant provides good well priced meals and although we noticed the difference in the Petit Dejeuner buffet but going post Covid shut down it was still good. There was a choice of meat, cheese, breads, croissants, butter, fruit, cereals and I did see people with yoghurts (think they must have run out when I got there though). Our towels were odd (husband's was much thicker than mine but mine was still thicker than in many hotels I've stayed in). Room was clean and the housekeeper even came to check that we had everything and that it had been cleaned thoroughly.

Fantastic time

Our stay was fine, room clean and comfy. Restaurant was good. At long last the public areas refurbishment is finished. This must have been the slowest refurbishment in the western world. I am not a fan of the reception lounge, bland ,dark and a tiny reception desk. The lift area sound proofing alterations are still in progress at a snail's pace. Will make some rooms quieter , especially at night.

Excellent location in the center of the Bordeaux and close to public transport. Clean room, air conditioning comfortable beds a lot of COVID precautions to protect the guests. At the brasserie the menu list a bit poor .

Extremely well located in Bordeaux, next to shops and the tram. Clean, well-run, great care taken to respect the current climate of Covid.

Very happy with our stay. Beds were devinely comfortable, wide choice at breakfast, dinner was good. Attentive and kind staff. Nothing is more than a 5 minutes walk. Very happy with our stay.

difficult to find the car park despite being under renovation, hotel was comfortable.

Hotel was nice but A/C did not really cool down the room.

We were able to check in before midday which enabled us to spend all day walking around the city. On this trip we walked to the Halles de Bacalan via les Jardins Publics and Chartrons. We had lunch at les halles before moving on to the Musée Maritime where we visited the Leonardo de Vinci exhibition and the maritime museum.

Room too hot, AC did not work. No bathroom door. Poor quality towels. Building work still on-going yet no discount for inconvenience. Insufficient security. Anyone can walk in and access hotel floors.
