The hotel is set in gardens on the edge of a perfect lagoon. Our overwater bungalow (superior) was spacious, comfortable and like all had its own steps into the sea. Powerful shower. Focus on green, eco products and recycling. Huge breakfast buffet array with the restaurants looking out over the lagoon plus an adjacent bar which does snacks and small meals as an alternative to the main restaurant. Helpful staff, pearl shop and boutique. Some water activities available. Small issues e.g. wear and tear in some areas, broken toilet lock and our luggage was not delivered to the room as promised until we walked down and asked.

Was a wonderful experience, the only complaint we would have is that so many of the plank boards on our deck and on the dock leading to our overwater bungalow were loose, I even tripped once because of the unevenness of the boards. Also had nails sticking up that were hard to maneuver around.

We were stunned at the beauty of the overwater bungalow. The comfort of the outdoor area really was perfect. We enjoyed the snorkeling and ease of access to the water. We really enjoyed the refrigerator being stocked with drinks. The staff did a great job with room service. The towels and bed were refreshed every day. The downside was that the mattress was not very good. It needs replacing. My husband had back troubles from it. Also the lighting in the bathroom needs upgrading as it is too dark. The hairdryer is awful. It took forever to dry my hair. The other hotels had more powerful dryers. But due to the prime location we would recommend the Sofitel Moorea

Moorea is an epic location and Sofitel is in great position. Unfortunately the rooms were very tired and service on some levels quite lacking given the reasonably exclusive price point this hotel sits in. We asked for a transfer (two individual transfers) to the ferry and on both occasions were told one was not available or a taxi. Not asure what guest are supposed to do? Instead had to walk 35 mins to the ferry with luggage. Also, the private beach abuts t

The trip was like a dream. The lagoon was in the top 3 most beautiful things I've ever seen in my life. The superior horizon bungalow was absolutely amazing. Being able to jump right from the room into the lagoon was unforgettable. The experience was one of luxury. I greatly appreciated the complimentary drinks in the room refrigerator, and the bottle of champagne waiting for us. The meals at the restaurant were delicious. The resort was quiet and not overcrowded. I can't say more positive things about my stay. I hope one day I am lucky enough to stay again.
