Sofitel Bogota Victoria Regia 5 stars

I am a frecuent visitor on this hotel, and at this time I experience a lot of issues not happening in the past, smell in the room, change 3 times of room because working noises, smell and bath maintenance. One day two men's are changing clothes in the gym. About the gym the bike and the treadmill make noise and not well maintained. Another day a breakfast request early in the morning for before traveling was not ready.

Great staff. Good location . However the rooms very poorly planned. Lighting not good, specifically along the counter where one likely puts their luggage. Bathroom very tight.

I enjoyed a weekend at the Sofitel Victoria Regina in Bogotá earlier this month. Every detail at this hotel is very stylish and modern, and the location is great too. Upon arrival, I was greeted in a very friendly manner by the team at reception, and led to a not so large but very modern and tastefully decorated room. I found the staff members’ attention to detail - in all service departments - to be impressive. In particular, I enjoyed the stylish bar (you should try their dirty martinis😋) with very friendly members of staff, but also the receptionists looked after me in impeccable manner. I also appreciate their efforts to limit waste and eliminate single-use products while keeping up a high standard of amenities. Food-wise, I strongly recommend their excellent burrata (I was wondering why it took a bit of time to prepare, but the presentation and high quality perfectly justified that). I also enjoyed their breakfast, although I think some items would have benefitted from being kept colder, for example the cured salmon. They also served really good tea, and in a stylish way. There was only one strange thing happening that I never experienced before, and still do not really understand. Just after check-in, a lady came to my room and emptied the mini-bar, before restocking it with a «There are other products for you, Sir.» I never had that happening in any hotel before, and if felt quite strange. Another possible element for improvement is the gym, which had very tiny towels and a limited selection of dumbbells. Tip: Be aware that they put corn in the omelettes at breakfast - that was a first for me, and you might also want to opt out of that. And make sure to check out the nearby restaurant Osaka.

Very happy with the stay. Room was very comfortable with a lovely shower. The shower also had a small window which was nice. And just steps from Zona T there was lots to do right near by!
