I very good room but disaster in dining room

My friend sat on a dining chair which collapsed. She fell back on the floor and hit her head , arm and shoulder. The backs came off her husband, and my husband’s chairs. Old, poor quality. The meal was very disappointing

+ Good, clean room with stand-alone shower as requested. + Allocated room next door to friends. + Good wine with meal and more expensive wine offered at lower price as chosen Morgon not available. - Not offered welcome drink voucher on arrival. Had to ask for it before going to bar. - Chair broke in restaurant causing partner to fall to the floor. Checks showed two remaining chairs similarly faulty. No follow up from hotel. - Food poor for the second visit running. Little/no fresh cooking. Tasteless legumes au gratin and parmentier de lieu. Pre-cooked and micro-waved. Very short menu. - On-line checking failed but money still reserved in account but not accessible to hotel.

The room was too hot and we were unable to cool it even though we turned the thermostat down. Also no shower gel and the sink plug didn't work. Disappointed with the drinks availability in the room.

This so-called upgraded room (I am a Gold Member) was so small that the distance from one side of the bed to the wall was just 30 centimetres. The bed could not be moved away because the bedside table on the opposite side of the bed was fixed to the wall.

Helpful Staff, everything was ready when we arrived (two rooms door to door). baby bed, clean hotel and liked their Rituals products. Breakfast was good but if I were the manager I would change things a bit, like chocolate and jam, given the pandemic I would ask employees to fill the small cups and not let people touch the spoons and serve themselves.

En route from Calais to Spain we arrived with our dog at around 20.00 at Novotel Le Source, Orleans. We have stayed here many times before, particularly liking the comfortable double beds. Being too tired to go out for dinner we decided to have dinner at the hotel. We noted that some updates had occurred, my wife approving of the replacement of the previously garish carpets in the room. We found the reception, bar and restaurant staff to be, as usual, friendly and helpful. At dinner we engaged in conversation with a couple on another table which served to keep my wife’s mind distracted from her overcooked chicken dish. I had the Andouillette, a tasty sausage. It was a one night stay so we don’t know what the rest of the menu is like. So, overall a score of 8/10 for the accommodation and 5/10 for the dinner seems a fair assessment.

Comfortable rooms. Since major refurbishment, despite all the claims to be eco friendly, it is impossible to fill the wash basin with water, the water just runs away! Since re-opening after Covid closure, the quality and choice of breakfast has gone down, nothing cooked except "self boil" eggs and a distinct lack of fresh fruit.

That was our third stay at the hotel. The hotel is well situated to visit Orleans and the castels in the Loire valley. Room was nice and clean. We missed the reception desk, because the hotel staff always had to go from the reception table to the back office to take the cards or print-outs. However, hotel staff was very friendly and eager to help. Restaurant was alright but expensive.

Very friendly staff and comfortable room but let down by poor restaurant and the shambolic "new" reception facilities. The hotel would do well to revert to traditional hotel facilities rather than trying to be something that it is not. Layout not conducive to having a pre-dinner drink. Poor menu presentation and, on our stay, poor service and cold food when the restaurant was nearly empty.

Have stayed here twice en route to the South - requested a room near to reception due to mobility problems and was not expecting they could accommodate this - but they did - and the staff have been more than helpful, friendly and professional. The food was very good - and there are plenty of pillows!!!! Excellent

Nice hotel with good facilities. I get the impression that a lot of people use it as a stop off point whilst driving through France. The rooms are a good size, and the layout is good. Downside: the bar was very expensive (more than 20 Euros for 2 gin and tonics) and the hotel was very noisy. We were constantly woken by noise from other rooms early in the morning (1am, 2am, etc).
