The location is perfect. The staff are very friendly. We didn’t have breakfast here as there are so many options elsewhere. The room was superb. The bed was comfy. Very clean.i would say though that it was strange that the toilet was in a separate room from The shower but some people might like this. Personally I do like a Hand basin to be near a toilet or a bidet type scenario.

I stayed at this hotel for several days with my daughter. The positive: location and staff at the reception. The hotel is near place de Clichy, with a metro stop and bus stop at less than a min walking distance. There are many restaurants, fast food joints (Quick, Starbucks) and supermarkets (Carefour) nearby. Also the best street crepe (Creperie Mon Ami) is at 15 min walking distance near the Sacre Coeur. I didn't know at first, but the Moulin Rouge is also at 5 min walking distance. There's even a souvenir store and a castorama (French equivalent to Home Depot) in the same street. The staff at the reception is very friendly and to my surprise (i haven't been in Paris for more than 15 years!) is speaking English willingly! I remember the old days when Parisians gave you a dirty look when you don't attempt to speak French. The negative: although the rooms are quite big, they have been worn out. Some paint on the doors and walls/ceiling is peeling. The room we slept in was clean, except for the bathroom (leaking shower and some black stuff on the floor) and separate very small toilet (with a filthy toilet brush). The tissues and shower soap was not refilled after the room was cleaned, and I had to request at the reception for more. Also we woke up in the morning from the loud noises of the cleaning staff. Sounded like they dropped a matrass or something. Unfortunately this happened more than once. The staff in the restaurant during breakfast was snappy and quite loud when cleaning up the tables. I appreciate it also if they don't spray the tables with detergent right next to me while I'm trying to eat breakfast. The breakfast however was quite good, with bread, danish pastry, eggs, bacon/sausages, beans, tomatoes, charcuterie, yoghurt, fresh juices and good coffee. For the price I paid (+- 170 euro/night + 20 euro/person/day for breakfast) I was disappointed. The quality is not as bad as Ibis, but i thought Mercure was a lot more luxurious. In this price range, i expected better. Next visit to Paris i would probably go for Pullman/Movenpick.

Sound pollution hotel

Apart from one member of staff at reception, the service was very pleasant. The front desk and the auditorium itself are nicely refurbished. The cafeteria and terrace are nice and cosy. The location itself is also good in terms of the metro and shops. But what's the point of all this as long as there's noise in the hotel? Let me explain. When we got the room, I immediately noticed an electric buzz from the roof just inside the door. It could be heard further into the room too. I complained to the front desk and sent up a caretaker who took no time at all to come up. I explained and pointed out the source of the noise and he nodded in acknowledgement and said that some rooms have this noise and others do not. I shook my head and said this doesn't work. He promised to look into it and wondered if we were on our way out and I said yes, because we were. When we got back to the room after a couple of hours after eating out, the sound was fortunately gone. The next day when the family and I were on our way to breakfast, I overheard two British ladies, one of whom said: ‘I could hardly sleep - the electric buzzing at the door is very irritating. What's the point of pleasant service and a nice auditorium when you disturb your guests with such sound pollution? AND NOT ONLY THAT: four times an hour, you could hear a trumpet-like sound with strong bass that lasted for about 3 seconds inside the hotel. I heard it from my room and when I was in the breakfast room every single day while we were there. It sounded like the leg of a chair being dragged across a floor making a lot of noise. This was around four times an hour every single day around the clock! it's not possible! I never found out about this sound. It could be from the lift shaft or from a garage door just on the other side of the hotel. I have no idea where it came from. But I ask again, how is it possible that you expose your guests to something like this? Sorry - but I will never return to this hotel.

Fantastic reception staff, Maniame Mehdi was kind, helpful and friendly. Room was perfect for an overnight city stay. Hotel in a good location, with great views of the Eiffel Tower. Looking forward to exploring the city and all it has to offer.

We loved the hotel. We were warmly greeted by Giovanna and treated with the utmost respect and kindness. The hotel was super close to Sacre Coeur and many good restaurants. The hotel terrace was lovely, and we had excellent service while enjoying our last night in Paris. An added bonus was seeing the Eiffel Tower lit up from the bridge next to the hotel. Would stay here again.
