I stayed at this property from **30th December 2025 to 2nd January 2026**, booking a **Duplex Suite** based on its positioning as a **5-star / luxury hotel**. Unfortunately, the overall experience did not align with that classification and was quite disappointing. **Room & Cleanliness** * The ground-floor bathroom in the duplex had severe drainage issues and remained waterlogged throughout the stay. * Towels were limited, and the quality of toiletries (including expired toothpaste) was very basic. * Bathroom lighting was poorly maintained, and a wall-mounted hair dryer was broken. * Bed linen on check-in did not appear clean on check-in. Although a birthday decoration was arranged, it required follow-up even after informing the hotel in advance. **Maintenance & Upkeep** * Fans, lights, and fixtures were visibly dusty and poorly maintained. * Walls had visible cracks, uneven paintwork, and signs of wear. * Hanging lights appeared unsafe and unclean. * Paintings were unevenly placed and seemed to cover wall damage rather than add to decor. * A door stopper was fixed in the room where there was no corresponding door. **Facilities** * The refrigerator was very old and housed in an unclean cabinet. * EV charger and steam room were not operational. * Several swimming pool tiles were broken, raising safety concerns. * A large honeybee nest was present near the swimming pool and appeared unattended. * Balconies were not lockable, had no meaningful view, and were unclean, including bird droppings on outdoor furniture. **Food & Events** * Breakfast options were identical on all three days with no variation. * Prior to booking, I was informed of a special New Year celebration; however, the hotel dinner had no music or festive arrangements, which wa

We spent an amazing time at Novotel Goa Resort & Spa. I came to know about this hotel through ChatGPT while looking for a luxury property near the beach where my son could really enjoy, and it truly matched our expectations in every way. We stayed here for 3 nights during our 5-night Goa trip, and honestly, my family felt sad while checking out.... they kept saying we should have booked this hotel for the entire trip. The staff is extremely polite, helpful, and professional. Cleanliness is top-class, breakfast is absolutely 5-star with great variety, and the pool, gym, and overall facilities are excellent. We ended up spending a lot of quality time inside the hotel itself instead of rushing for sightseeing. The location is another big plus ....Candolim Beach, Fort Aguada, and many famous beaches are nearby, and there are good restaurants within walking distance. Overall, it was a memorable family stay, and we will definitely visit again.

I am Accor platinum, stayed extensively in Accor properties. By and large, I had a good experience with Accor group, they deliver what they commit. This Novotel was disappointment from the word go. First the rooms - it is advertised as 62 sq mt. By no way, it is 62 sq mt. It is duplex but very cramped room. We actually felt very claustrophobic there. Then rooms were old, balcony was never cleared (I actually made video and showed to housekeeping). Then load of teething issues : WiFi took 2 hours to work, lot of noise from adjoining room which took 3 phones to Frontdesk and even then not resolved. I had 2 bookings : one of 2 days and one of 1 day. I promptly cancelled 3rd day booking. Front office staff was actually nice and they were trying to solve the issue. But when base product itself is so bad, you can't put much bandaid on it. By no standards, this property should claim themselves as 5 star. Though rates are also not of 5 star, but they are advertising incorrectly. Only saving grace was breakfast, which was delicious and staff again was prompt. But would definately not be staying here again.
