My stay at Mercure Hotel Da Nang was deeply disappointing from start to finish. The check-in process is unnecessarily complex and some steps can be completed online. With one party in front of us, it took us over 20 minutes to complete the check-in. Unfortunately, things only got worse upon entering the room. It was shockingly dirty—surfaces looked like they hadn’t been properly cleaned, and the overall condition felt neglected. Hygiene standards were far below what you’d expect from a hotel of this brand. Everything is run down, broken, lamp shades full of dust etc. It was clear that staff is overworked and little to know management leadership to address these deficiencies. Even more concerning was the persistent sewage smell that seemed to permeate not just the room, but multiple areas of the hotel. It was strong, unpleasant, and impossible to ignore, making it very difficult to relax or feel comfortable at any point during the stay. The food was another major letdown. The quality was extremely poor—bland, poorly prepared, and in some cases borderline inedible. Dining ended up being something to avoid rather than enjoy. Do not buy the half board or full board options. We ended up buying ramen from the local store Overall, this experience fell far short of expectations. Between the complicated check-in, lack of cleanliness, unbearable odors, and unacceptable food quality, I would not recommend staying here.

Indoor pool was closed Breakfast and dinner room was very hot (not good for baby) Breakfast and dinner very average for the price Front desk supervisor was helpful and swapped our room Bunk bed room was terrible (cannot control AC, next to extremely noisy maid room, old, cramped) Room in main building was better Location and setting are good

We enjoyed our stay very much. Did not realise how busy the hotel was. Was not able to dine in the breakfast room due to large groups, had to eat in the bar area, along way from breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful, a little mixup with the checkout time. Was told 12pm when checking in because I was a gold member but received a call at 10.30 to ask why we were still occupying the room as we had passed out time.

Overall, the experience was just as good as it was when we first visited in October 2024. However, the internet/wifi service offered was sporadic. And the WiFi in our bedroom was practically not useable. We had to either move our devices to the front door or else go into the hallway in order to obtain a strong enough signal. Even then, it was sporadic.

beds are not comfortable. aircon is not helping, later staff brought us a fan! too warm inside the room. pool is cold. spa has no heat, cold water! buffet breakfast and dinner are average!
