Stayed for one night for work. I was slightly dubious about the stay after reading the reviews but was pleasantly surprised. The room was small but comfortable and looked recently renovated, the bathroom did need updating but had everything you needed. There were a few bits that need updating and the triple glazing in the room needed some attention but nothing game changing. Would likely stay again.

Very good central location .car park spaces too small. Corridor from car park to hotel reception unwelcoming and like a boiler room with a couple of plants. Large bar area hopelessly inadequately stocked. Very limited bar snacks. Restaurant which is advertised on website is only in use when there are tours etc apparently. Bar food unavailable on 2nd night. Hotel decor is quite "tired". Hotel room (318) is compact but with very high ceilings. Rooms very dark with totally inadequate lighting. Clean and comfy but drasticslly in need of new carpets an redecorating....No air con but a fan available left in single wardrobe. No drawers in room. Breakfast very good value. Excellent selection. Not what I would ever consider to be a 4 star hotel.more like a 2 to 3 at best......
