We chose Mercure for our first anniversary and had informed the hotel in advance, hoping for a comfortable and memorable stay. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing, especially considering the high amount we paid. The room we were given had multiple issues. The AC was not working properly, which made the stay uncomfortable. In the bathroom, the shampoo dispenser was not functioning, the hand wash dispenser was leaking, and the power socket near the basin was not working. Although the staff was very polite and helpful also, they did respond after we raised complaints and managed to fix some of the issues, the overall experience was far from pleasant. For a special occasion like an anniversary, we expected better maintenance, attention to detail, and a smoother experience from the start. Only good thing was the food, which was very tasty. Overall, it did not feel worth the price we paid, and it impacted what should have been a special celebration.
