I book 3 days 2 night starting saturday till monday.. on saturday, i urgently need to work so i decided to cancel my booking but it is rejected and it stated hotel will keep my room.. to not waste it, i came on sunday morning (8.00 am) with the hope that my room is ready (since the hotel stay they will keep it for me). Unfortunately, the room is given to other people and they asked me to take my bfast first while waiting (i pay the bfast). After done my bfast, i went to receptionist and she said the room isnt ready.. that time it is around 9.00++.. i was soo pissed. After i pressuring her and ask for compensation, then she checked and give me the twin bed room with the same price.. Im dissapointed because the hotel mentioned they are rejecting my room cancellation request and said the room will be kept however when i came, the room is given to other customer which is not making sense.

This was a nice stay in a well appointed suite on the city floor affording a lovely beach view The facilities were everything you’d need for a base to explore the local area and return to an abode in which you could do your own cooking and dining should you wish Breakfast downstairs had everything you’d need The beach was lovely but during my stay practically abandoned due to jelly fish There were no sun loungers probably for that reason which is not something I expected having seen the website and Instagram blurbs That said I walked the beach either no issues,and was lucky enough to see one of the worlds largest lizards slip into the sea,it’s called an Asian water monitor I believe Overall a solid 8 out of 10 here,I would return

We had a clogged bathroom and disturbing sound coming out of the bidet. But the team handle the clogged waterway very quick. The room was amazing. Very close to the beach. However sound proof was pretty bad.

I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding my recent stay at Mercure Penang Beach. At the time of booking, I specifically reserved and paid for a sea view room, as the view was an important consideration for our family getaway. Unfortunately, upon arrival and entering the room, we found that the view was predominantly obstructed by trees, with no meaningful sea view from the room. I immediately contacted the reception to raise my concern. However, I was informed that the hotel was fully occupied and was offered only an apology. While I appreciate the apology, I was disappointed that no alternative arrangement or appropriate solution was offered, particularly given that we had specifically paid an additional amount for the sea view room category. I understand that room availability can be challenging, especially during periods of high occupancy. However, this does not change the fact that the room provided did not meet the room category and experience that we had booked and paid for. This was also a special family getaway for us. We had been looking forward to spending quality time together and having a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Unfortunately, the experience was considerably affected by this issue, and it was particularly disappointing to feel that our concern was not adequately addressed during our I hope the management will take this matter seriously and review the hotel’s approach to situations where guests do not receive the room category they have specifically booked and paid for. The room was awesome, super clean, and really roomy. And that view from the room? So nice! Breakfast was good too. Not a huge variety, but everything tasted great. They just need to spiff up the pool area a bit, it was kind of dirty. And the kids club was a bit of a mess, not well kept, and some toys were broken. But other than that, everything else was fantastic, especially being able to get to the beach and that amazing beach view

the ocean view is not what i expected because i got the level 1 floor. it is so dissapointing. plus we ask to change to other room. but the receiption is not very friendly. and offer us room with separate bed. please teach some manners to your receiptionist. dont look and judge other base on their appearance.
