Hi, I had ordered dinner at your restaurant. The food was over cooked, rather burned & i was extremely hungry & did not have any patience to wait for any other dish so i had whatever it was but the funny thing is that your restaurant manager tired to compensate me with a sweet dish from the buffet.

The staff at front desk is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, smooth check-in and check-out procedures, service staffs in restaurant very friendly also, taking care empty plates are cleaned and extra orders are taken care of in a timely manner Food is very good and to recommend To the hotel itself: the cushioning of couch area in fron entrance was dirty with staints and needs regualr cleaning or renewal, not up to standard the rooms are dated and clearly require renovation the most annoying part of the three night stay was the intense smell of mould / mouldiness in the room; continous use of the AC did not help so one might wonder about the cleanliness of the AC itself... the issue became particularly apparent when next night unpacking the luggage and clothes at Vivanta in Mumbai, how intense the clothes would have taken on the mouldy smell from the room. Back in Germany we've washed the clothes already twice using premium laundry detergent with odor removal, but the mould smell of the clotes is still there. Ultimately the mold case unfortunately makes this stay a non-forgettable experience, but not to its favor and thus canot recommend to stay there for an overnight stay, but only for dining-in

We have stayed at the Grand Mercure in Vadodara multiple times. I always try to make sure that whenever we are in Vadodara that we always have a reservation there. To summarise: The staff at all levels always go above and beyond to make sure we're comfortable. The rooms are very well maintained and have all the essential facilities required (for me this is crucial as I'm a remote IT worker so having good WiFi and a good physical workspace is crucial) The swimming pool and spa are an excellent touch, my daughter loves both of these facilities, their changing room and shower is in excellent condition. The food served both at the breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets + a la carte menu are extremely delicious. I particularly like how they have included Indian-chinese dishes as well. They also have kids friendly food. On top of this, their food quality in terms of hygiene and ingredients is a very high standard. Also they have room service which I have used to order food, again a great service. The location is also excellent, Uber taxis will always come within 5 minutes or less. Another very nice touch is they sell freshly made cakes and cookies. These are delicious. I cannot fault the grand Mercure Vadodara in any way, I recognise that it all comes down to the hard-working and thoughtful staff. They all deserve applause and recognition for their commitment and passion in making this hotel outstanding.

The stay was comfortable overall, only in the washroom the commode shower flow was weak and the overhead shower was spraying all over, which was either not cleaned or had to be replaced which I pointed out at the time of check out.

Centrally located hotel with a great Buffet breakfast and dinner, well appointed, clean but compact rooms and a modest sized Gym /Swimming pool. The steam room is a major plus, though the timings are not clearly mentioned. The response to calls made from the room to housekeeping and room Service needs improvement. Some calls had no response and some a delayed one.
