As an Accor Hotel member I was in complete disbelief at the state of this hotel. I booked my parents into this hotel not reading reviews before hand given my positive experiences in other Sofitels. The staff are aware of the situation but the price does not reflect this. I would rate this hotel a 1 star. Long dark corridors like something from ‘The Shining’, dated worn furniture, filthy carpets and floors, broken tiles. It’s like the hotel that time/Accor has forgotten. The manager was rude and arrogant ‘do you want to see the other room or not’, no apology, but I gather she is worn out from constant complaints. She changed my parents to a room with a better view but the room was equally as disgusting and dull as the 1st. The location isn’t even good. The barman was nice, that’s the only good thing I have to say!

Severe need of renovation

The hotel is greatly in need of a renovation and the pricing should reflect that. I was very disappointed in the room and hotel conditions. If I didn't pay top dollar, I may have been a little more understanding but the price is too high for this dilapidated property.

The views and location of the hotel are stunning. The property is, unfortunately, in need of an urgent renovation. From room furniture to gym and spa facilities, the hotel does not live up to the expectations.

We had to make a last minute booking for Biarritz and so didn't have time to research where we would stay. We were lucky to find some availability at the Sofitel and booked accomodation for our family of 5 based purely on the location and what we know of the Sofitel brand. We feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful hotel, with large well appointed rooms, excellent friendly staff and one of the best breakfasts we've had in our recent hotel stays.

After 1 week still nobody call me back to solve my situation, this is not good customer service at all .
