Lots of space, appliances with which to cook (but no coffee offered in the room as other hotels in France, yes offered on the first floor at any time. I did not find spoons either). You got to walk for 15 minutes to get to the center, but it is close to the train station, which suited me. Front desk staff and the lady in the breakfast room are not the nicest persons on earth. However, that does not change my opinion that the hotel is very convenient for your stay (but it removes one star from my ranking of it). Supermarket 2 blocks away. What I loved the most was the huge room. Finally, some place to stay in France in which you could move, leave your bags, extend your arms. I recommend it.

Over all the Hotel is tired and run down . Breakfast option very poor, hit and miss if there will be eggs or fruit available. Some morning there were no tables re-set after last seating. (I had to ask 2 mornings) No House keeping over weekends. gym door always locked (when i was there) entry only through restaurant. TV in bed room and sitting room is very small , less than 30 inch. Internet is very very poor, i was unable to stream most days and platform (Netflix, Amazon, Apple or Disney , all buffering )

The staff have been great - from front desk to breakfast room and cleaning staff. Most have also been very capable in both English and French. Location near to Marengo metro and walking distance to Jean Jaures, plus groceries, etc. has been very convenient. Only point off is that I find the mattresses and pillows are very firm for my preference.

Overall, good and I'd probably stay there again. Really helpful staff. Well located. Large, comfortable rooms. Odd design though with the reception on the first floor. Not enough lifts and not the best hotel breakfast I've ever had.

Nice stay, but could be improved

The staff was lovely and location good. The size of the apartment was good and it was quiet too. The room-service, done by Pullman next door, was very good and quick too. However the aparthotel lacked a bit of charm (definitely didn't feel like a 4* décor). It also crucially missed basic cooking ingredients such as oil, salt and pepper. If I chose an aparthotel over a hotel room, it was to be able to cook one night or two, but because there was nothing in the cupboards I couldn't (with a carry-on only it is impossible to buy oil). That's very stupid! The same stands for tea and coffee, the machine and kettle were there, but weirdly enough there was no actual tea or coffee available in the apartment. The breakfast was also beyond expectations, again really not worth 4*. The pastries were obviously out of the freezer (or stale, maybe?), the cereals, ham and salmon quality were shockingly bad. There was a label for "scrambled eggs" but when I asked I was told this was no longer available, and that I could only boil my own egg if I wanted to. When I did, after leaving it for 4min in the water (as instructed by the staff) I took it off and broke it - it hadn't cooked at all! I understood the water wasn't hot enough... Finally, the aircon wasn't working properly so I was boiling every night (and it was only May!). I won't be coming back as I am deeply disappointed by the quality of the services (apart from the receptionists who were lovely and helpful).
