The carpets were so dirty the room smelled. Clearly the staff have to be aware of this, it is the kind of dirt which builds up over years. Not a stain, years of traffic and stains. The staff were very helpful and the rest of the property was fine. I stay in hotels about 45 nights a year and this was the 2nd worst in 10 years

A two-day stay during a brief visit to Toulouse with day trips to Narbonne and Carcassonne. Excellent facilities, beautifully furnished rooms, great location, and MARVELOUS staff--helpful checking bags for the day, summoning a taxi late at night, and in providing generous, welcoming, lovely breakfast buffets.
