Well located but rundown

This hotel is well located and front desk staff were friendly. However, that is really the only nice things to say. The hotel is rundown and in need of major upkeep or a complete renovation. The walls are also super thin so you can hear noise coming from the other rooms, including whenever someone flushes the toilet. In it’s current state, it is not a 4 star hotel. Unless major improvements are made, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. In fact, given this was my first stay at a Mercure hotel, I will be avoiding this hotel chain altogether as my experience has led me to feel that they don’t accurately represent their hotels on their website and allow them to go into a state of disrepair.

I was overall quite staisfied with the hotel and the staff.

We thank you very much for your compliments which we will not fail to pass on to our entire team. Additionally, we fully understand that the rates may seem very high. However, Paris in general, the 2024 period, with its numerous trade fairs and the approach of the Olympic Games, partly justifies this increase. Clean, tidy, nice breakfast. A bit hot at night and the thermostat didn't seem to work.

The location is great. It is close to nearby Metro stations, shops and restaurants. The only downside was the noise. I could hear people in the rooms next to me talking word for word, hearing every movement and ever sneeze, etc which was really frustrating as I have struggled to sleep because of it, which isn’t ideal during a holiday. The breakfast was lovely and had something for everyone. I also cannot fault the staff. The maids have been amazing, same goes with the staff working the breakfast and the reception.
