The hotel is well located in a modern architectur surrounding with good lunch and food options in walking distance. Efficient and free public transport to centre. The rooms are spacious. very clean and absolutely quiet.

Overall the hotel is lovely throughout, Sofitel standards, lovely amenities (minus the outdoors that seems bit dull). I didn't quite understand why I had to make a payment upfront at the check-in for a higher amount than what the actual room rate was (I was staying for one night only). It was slightly odd and certainly first for me (usually deposit payment are taken, but not a higher amount than the actual bill all upfront). Check out was quite a long process too (it usually takes seconds, but not in this case, it took about 10-15 minutes making me late for my morning meeting). Room was great, although location next to the lifts slightly less so.

Extending the stay went difficult and gave us stress

We stayed from 11/04/2024 till 14/04/2024 Overall we have been happy about our stay. The staff does really there best to make our stay really nice. On saturday 13/04 we decided to stay a night more. The receptionist that was on duty on saturday 13/04 in the morning wasn't helpfull at all and was rude. I called in the morning to the reception. The receptionist told us that she can't get the price because something is not working in the system. She said to come back around 11 am. My wife went to the receptionist before having breakfast. She said: I don't know the price, you have to came back at 11 am. I told this allready to your husband he. Around 11 am I come back and we still have no answer. She proposes us to leave the room. Around 12.30 she calls us. Do you speak french? Yes I do. The price for the room is .....euro. and with breakfast ......euro's. So you are allready late in the room. What do you wanna do? You wanna stay longer or no? My wife wanted to leave. This is a really unpleasant way of handling with guest that want to extend a stay. We both felt bad by extending because the woman at the reception was rude. We where released by checkout that we could talk about it with de front office shift leader which was really nice and frienly. We had also a nice mail of the manager to solve the problem. I am sure there are bussy to train this front desk employee. Kind regards
