Beware of Unnecessary Parking Charges

I recently attended an event at the Mercure Cardiff North and was dismayed by their unnecessary and predatory parking charges. Despite the hotel's location in a quiet area with little traffic, they have employed Parking Eye to manage their parking. This system seems more focused on penalising visitors than providing any real parking solutions. For a venue that hosts events, implementing such stringent parking fees without just cause detracts significantly from the overall experience. It's disheartening and frankly surprising that a reputable hotel would choose to enforce such unwelcoming policies. This practice left a negative impression on me, and I find myself compelled to advise others to consider alternative venues where guest convenience is a priority. I will certainly think twice before returning or recommending this location to others.

I have stayed at this Hotel on many occasions in the last few years, but now find that your are charging parking to hotel guests. I find this, in a hotel that isn't in the centre of town to be unacceptable.

Stayed 1night for concert at Cardiff arena. Just 10 minutes to city centre. Room and hotel well maintained. Disappointed the double room only had 1 chair at the table.
