The only lift was broken. I'm mobility impaired. The staff let me know and helped me with my bag. They were all excellent and professional. But it was evident from recent reviews that the lift had been broken for over a week and that this budget hotel was not a priority for the overall company.

Spent 2 nights and didn’t have problems getting the stuff I needed since it’s located in the midst of shops restaurants. Will surely visit again.

This was our fourth stay here. The rooms are perfectly adequate, clean and with a very comfortable bed, but it s no frills. Having said that the price is very keen especially of you book in advance. Also the reception and cleaning staff are very helpful (though to keep costs down it is quite a skeleton staff). No breakfast etc but there is. Lidl directly below, a Waitrose and cafe 100m away and Aqua (a very nice cafe close by at the marina). Free overnight parking in car park to rear but be sure to register your car at the hotel reception.

Lift out of order during entire stay Room had strong stale smell Room carpet stained and dirty Complimentary cups unwashed from previous guests Room clearly had not had a deep clean for some time

Overall good stay, room could have been cleaner , hairs on floor, rusty bin in shower room ,carpet looked tired. woke early ever morning by the resident pigeons. One member of the reception team was not that welcoming looked like she didn’t want to be there.

For a disabled room on the top floor I found that strange especially for health safety reasons . The beds were very narrow the carpets were badley stained . But the check in and staff were very good

Short stay over Christmas, perfect location!

Receptionist when I booked in was offhand, scruffy and insisted I had booked 3 rooms.

Following on from the above; I explained that it had been very difficult to book due to the web site repeatedly crashing. When I checked my receipt I saw I had been charged for 3 rooms. My confirmatory email had been for 1 room. I went back down to reception, I asked what could be done and was told she couldn’t do anything. Apparently it was my fault, I again said the web site kept on crashing and I did not accept it was my fault. She said she would pass ‘it’ on. I asked why she had not told me this before and was told ‘ I have told you’. This was the first mention, I asked how long would it take and was told at least 12 days. The following morning as I dropped my key in the box there was a cheery thank you from the room behind. I asked if I could speak to him and a smart man appeared. I related my experience the previous night and he asked me if I could wait and he would see what he could do. After a short wait he told me that I had been refunded and the money should be in my bank account after 5 working days. He apologised although as I said it was not his fault. The difference between the 2 staff members was incredible. The first appeared not to care less and her scruffy appearance did not help. The second - a young man could not have been more polite and helpful. He should be commended.

A persistent bad smell in the bathroom.

There was a strong nasty odour in the bathroom. It could have been tobacco smoke. I am not an expert on bad smells. Perhaps it was sewage. I reported it to the desk clerk. If I had thought it was going to linger for my two nights there I would have asked for a different room. I had to keep the bathroom door closed and room window open so that the smell did not make the bedroom unusable. Also the soap dispenser above the bath did not function. Although it contained soap it did not dispense it. Disapointing first stay in an Ibis Hotel.
