I was annoyed when the alarm (that must have been left by a previous guest) went off long before I was ready to wake.

It's okay for a couple of nights stay

The hotel room was clean and tidy, The carpets however were a bit smelly. The family room is actually too small to be called a family room, as there was only once chair which I understand it was due to the lack of space. No bedside tables, only one small business table with the one chair. Wooden unlockable sliding door to the toilet combined with shower cubicle, offering little privacy. Good hotel for a couple staying for a few days, not really suitable for families. Parking was far away at convention center, which was hard for my elderly parents to walk that distance, and the hotel was kind enough to give us a parking spot at the hotel at the price of $35. Buffet breakfast was good except for scrambled eggs that were too creamy, almost liquid, so quite nauseous.

I had a wonderful stay. I was going to the Tom Gleeson comedy show at QPAC and was looking for a night away from work and decided to try out Novotel South Bank. I was so happy I did. All the staff were accommodating and friendly plus to my surprise I got a complementary upgrade which I wasn't expecting and was really happy they did that. Also got a nice little amenity to thank me being a fellow Heartist which was nice. Would highly recommend staying here again.
