We enjoyed another stay in this hotel. The accessible room is very spacious and has hand rails in the bathroom but we could not use the shower chair as it was stuck at the lowest setting, too low to safely use, so my husband had to struggle to stand for a quick shower. We also had an issue with the bathroom plumbing. The room was nice and quiet though and temperature ok. Presumably it gets cold in the winter as there were two portable radiators in the room. Contrary to other reviews, we thought the breakfast was good. All the hot food and fruit was kept topped up, even towards the end of the breakfast sitting, and the staff helped a couple who were late for breakfast but getting them a plate of food each. I assume the hotel had worked on their breakfast procedures following recent reviews. We were given complimentary vouchers for one the swimming pool since the charge was introduced after we booked. We had a two night stay but could only use the vouchers once it seemed. There is an accessible toilet but it was not possible to fit through the doors to the family changing room. The steam room and sauna are up some stairs.

Looks nice British but the inside is older than old ! Not even worth 50% of the room price.

Really bad ! The rooms here are on this moment on the nr1 position of the worst of this year. People are friendly that’s ok but the room I have here is absolutely not over 100 euros. Old castle room. Simply old old and old ! Phone in the room was not connected and can’t be connected as the plug is not there. Cups are too small for the coffee machine so they are a disaster. The bathroom is semi clean and there was 1 hour of conditioner in but not enough to wash your hair. So for the room …. A disaster and a no go !!!!!!!

We stayed at the hotel for an overnight stop while spending the weekend visiting the area with our grandsons. The location and 2 room apartments was the main reason for selecting the hotel even though it was very overpriced compared to other options. Initial impressions were great coming in through the sweeping driveway, but soon lost when you see the general poor state of repair of the hotel, most windows are rottern its clear major investment is needed. The apartment was ok but worn and tired, we tought it had two bathrooms but it just had one with no lock! Added to which the toilet seat was disgusting, basin chipped and shower leaking. The room was full of flies and the settee covered in crumbs from the previous occupants. Half the lights were not working. We complained and the manager did visit the room and despite promises nothing was done and the bill showed no compensation or notes of our dissatisfaction when we checked out. We wanted to use the pool but it was packed, way too small for a hotel of this size. We would not come back and honestly our worst stay in an Accor hotel and terrible value for money. Certainly not a 4 star hotel. I hope the investment is made in the place it 'could' be amazing.
