Good location and clean room - hygiene is lacking (draft beer)

Polite reception team, clean and tidy room and good price. The beer was the worst I have tasted and I have a personal licence as have managed a pub previously, it was explained to me that the lines have not been cleaned in a few weeks or months as advised by the manager - I told my partner not to drink it because it will make someone poorly...fingers crossed EHO don't pay a visit. At breakfast there was a piece of hair on the cheese which we pointed out to the reception team. The breakfast has a good selection and i would revisit but not drink.

Clean & comfortable hotel with great staff

We have stayed here several times over the last 18 months and enjoyed every time. The bedrooms & communal areas are always cleaned to a high standard & comfortable. All the staff have been very helpful & friendly. We have recommended the hotel to many people. The location & breakfast are hard to beat too

I found that a decoration in the bathroom and bed room badly needed attention I got down to breakfast 9 , the sausages were hard and dry , the scrambled eggs were like powered eggs and the bacon was dry and hard I was only in York to work so I didn’t expect much but these things let you down

Stayed here many times & always first class. The staff couldn't be more helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. Breakfast is fabulous and varied and the location is perfect - just a very short walk into the centre. Would highly recommend
