Hungry H TripAdvisor review

This is a tough one... The staff are super friendly and speak every language, the price point is fair considering it is less than 5 minutes walk to the Eurostar and from gare du midi you can get a train to Luxembourg Germany Holland Denmark very easy, great location for travel .Typical ibis plastic bathrooms but rooms are big and beds are comfy, TV is small and you get all canal channels. Restaurant and bar on site however if you want to explore Brussels edgy side you can ! Out the front door turn right and walk up ,5-19 minutes to the kebab shop on the right and believe me you will see what a kebab shop really is all about. Fish Meat Skewers Breads fresh baked Salads the best kebab shop in Europe including Britain. Ok if you got this far you will have of passed the piss soaked stench at gare du midi, ironic that the EU headquarters is not that far away... Like everywhere else drugs are plentiful in fact you will notice the street hustlers right outside the hotel till late around 1 am ( noise ) try and get room on the inside ring at the rear of hotel .... It's Brussels it's edgy it's raw but it's real .... Not for everyone but I used this to transition across borders every direction without issue.

We were allocated a room and given a key for a room that was already occupying it for the day. I'm not sure who was more shocked when we entered the room. At least one occupant was dressed - the other was still in bed. Breakfast was busy and loud I felt like I was in a rowdy works canteen. Many items were not replenished quickly enough and staff stationed at the door were unhelpful in finding us a seat - very few to be had. Indeed not sure why she was there as she wasn't doing anything when many things needed to be done. Couldn't really recommend - not as good as other IBIS hotels we've stayed at.

Very well located. Room size is fine, but the bathroom is so tiny, its unsafe as you can damage or hit your hands to the glass or a wall while taking the shower. Air conditioning doesn't work.
