Visited Brussels for a couple of days to see Belgian friends and take in some football. Decent city centre location just a couple of hundred yards from the metro. Usual ibis decore and layout. Comfortable beds for a decent sleep. Fair breakfast on offer with both hot and cold options. Worth a stay if looking for a budget price hotel.

I am a regular visitor at the hotel but this was my last time. I had made a reservation for 3 nights but since my flight was cancelled due to bad weather I called the hotel to notify them and explain that I was going to be there at the next day. I specifically asked what this would mean and if there was going to be any penalties. I was rest assured that there was no problem and that my reservation was modified to 2 days. The next morning I called again from the airport in order to confirm that everything was ok - once again I got a positive reply. To my surprise I was charged for NO SHOW. While at the hotel I tried to sort out the issue but the people at the front desk couldn’t help since the person responsible was not there. The same thing happened the next day and of course while back home, the same reply when I called.

Hairdryer did not work in the bathroom Very noisy sirens heard all night Church bells right outside hotel ringing Sunday morning soo noisy Breakfast was ok although the coffee was very strong from the machine did try every different coffee but was unable to find just a mild coffee for breakfast The toaster was useless put my toast through 4 times and was still not brown just warm.

Room the size of a prison cell, hotel bar shut on Sunday evening, buffet breakfast a disappointment on Monday morning no staff to put food on display.

This is an awful hotel , rooms and bathrooms are ridiculously small, seems to be no management or staff to actually run the functions of the hotel . Returned to the hotel on Sunday evening after a day sightseeing to find bar closed at 7 pm . Got up for breakfast on Monday to find no one checking your room number and only one person stocking buffet, which was half empty at 6.45am . The whole experience was a disaster, and it was compounded by the huge costs for a 2 night stay . This truly is an hotel to be avoided.
