The rooms look very dirty and old, the carpet was fully of stains. The renovation works make impossible staying in room after 10 o' clock.

I was a little disappointed that The works going on were not advised in advance and the extend of it. After arriving very late in the evening, next day I needed a rest and there was bery loud and reverberating pressure hammering right under my room . HOwever, the hotel arranged for me to move to the Mercure down the road.

Unsatisfied with my whole stay

I’ve stayed at other Novotel hotel, and this one is my least favorite. First, we’re not close to any stores to purchase any waters, which is fine because that’s just the location of the hotel. But the hotel charge for any water or sodas in the fridge knowing that. The other places I’ve been give you daily water and drinks. 2. Customer Service was just not that great here. It didn’t feel welcoming. 3. The hotel seems very old, and so much sounds got through. You can hear children crying or running around. No one to regulate or ask parents to be mindful. I’m a parent of two young children, so I know how important it is to be respectful of others in a shared space. 4. Our room was not very clean. It was very dusty and things didn’t work well. When we spoke with receptionists, they said unfortunately that’s how it is here. 5. It truly felt like a 2 star hotel. I don’t recommend it.

Poor maintenace

For the 3 nights stay we changed 3 rooms. First room was with very strong smell of the sigarets, second room was not maintained at all. Mold on bathroom walls, dirty sheets, broken lamps, broken toilet accessories, broken windows... The last room was assigned as a renovated one, but even here, the door was not closing properly and the phone was not working. I understand that Novotel is not 5 star hotel, but around all the Accor hotels I stayed at, Lisbon one is definitely the worst and not worth its money.
