Air conditioning did not work, noise from nearby motorway meant impossible to sleep with window open. Overall condition was poor - badly stained carpets, waste bins not emptied for several days. Had dinner 3 times during stay - meat tough, fish not properly cooked. Breakfast poor and frequently waiting for more cups, as well as more food. There was a shortage of staff in the bar and restaurant especially when two coaches were booked in - no co-ordination on staffing levels. Music left on overnight in pool area despite requests to turn off again meant window could not be opened. Pool area had not been cleaned.

The hotel is very run down. The air conditioning was not working but you could not open the windows at night because of the noise from the motorway running alongside. Also the music the hotel plays throughout the public areas goes on 24/7 With a speaker on the patio area below our room it meant that even with the window shut there was a constant bass beat we couldn’t get away from. Despite requests to the hotel from our wonderful tour guide nothing was done. Temperature in the bedroom was 25c. Do not eat at the hotel, the food is abysmal and very expensive. The grounds and pool are not maintained and filthy, the litter bins outside reception overflowing. The only positives are the towels and bedding are new and plentiful and the supplied toiletries are high end, good quality.

The rooms and facilities were good, easy to park and in a quiet part of town. However there was a problem with the air-conditioning and / or heating and it was impossible to cool down the room. We had the window open for most of the night and it was still impossibly hot. We asked the manager if the aircon could be turned on, but he simply told us it didn't work. The bed and pillows were too hard for us.
