I have been in MERCURE Rambouillet dozens of time. It is a very nice hotel in a cozy city. Rooms are nice, sleeping comfort is high, staff is friendly. Not too long ago, comprehensive renovation activities, breakfast room nicely redone and decorated. But, unfortunately, while prices increase, service and breakfast quality declines. No more water bottle in the room, cosmetic articles minimized, shower heads strongly calcified (maintenance?). Breakfast selection reduced, e.g. less fresh bread from bakery, more rolls from freezer, orange press removed, bacon or sausages no longer found (my last 3 visits), pot with scrambled eggs mostly empty. Service staff seen in breakfast room much less frequently. It's a pity because I really like the place. But it is the before mentioned things which make a stay comfortable and pleasant - not just ok.

We were pleased with the room upgrade but the bed was weirdly noisy - it was the springs. Breakfast was disappointing and a bit chaotic compared with our previous visits.

Excellent reception, room was fine, quiet in general. Parking not too far in underground garage, not expensive. Main shopping street good combination of shops. Chateau just 100 meters. Breakfast a bit hectic and crowded—staff were stressed a bit. A few glitches — hall overhead light was strobing and irritating, some “repairs” in room obvious and unfinished and cleaners left their personal items (lighter, dust rag) behind. We paid a bit over par booking direct—but there was a festival happening across the street and that was a giant plus.

Nice hotel but the heating does not work, Only cold air was coming out. The experience could have been much better but being cold is not what I expect from such a hotel.
