I got booked into an accessible room - this may have been an accident by my assistant, not the hotel's fault. I stayed in that room for 3 out of 4 nights. I was ultimately moved to a normal room for my last night, and it was a fantastic experience. The non-accessible accommodations were much more useful to me and made my stay very fulfilling. I would have had a "10" stay had I been able to move rooms earlier. But, the hotel was full, so I understand the circumstances.

Lovely hotel but some real service issues

This is a lovely hotel in a great location but the service leaves much to be desired. We had real problems in Laurels on Saturday night. Service was really slow, we were left waiting for menus for twenty minutes and even after we asked we had to ask again ages later for someone to take our order. It wasn't particularly busy. Staff were just hanging around chatting. There was no turndown service for the room. We asked if someone could come and provide some fresh towels and water and had to chase this as no one was sent. Many of the staff appeared untrained and didn't really know what they were doing plus the sense that, other than the odd person, nobody really cared. This might be alright in a Travel Lodge but not when the hotel purports to be five star with a corresonding five star price.

Incredibly friendly stuff helped us have a very comfortable stay. The room was lovely, very stylish bathroom! The upstairs restaurant however it was incredibly slow. So much so that we heard multiple other guests making a point to mention that they had to hurry for meetings and still weren’t ready on time. We had to change appointment and meeting times due to slow service. One morning it took them 30 minutes to tell me they didn’t have yoghurt for the granola bowl so I had to go without as in out of time!

Satisfied with the room apart from a wierd knocking noise that went on from the early hours. My friend got up twice as she thought someone was at the door. There wasn’t. Another friend in a different room experienced the same? Possibly the air con? Breakfast lovely. Drinks just awful- don’t sell cocktails if you don’t know how to make them! Sent back a margarita as it was vile and they still tried to charge us

I booked the hotel (in March) for the sole purpose of using the rooftop pool. The night before I checked my emails to find the check in time, and found an email in my junk folder saying the roof was shut for a week. I called the hotel and spoke to an unbelievably obnoxious night manager who then looked on the system and told me my reservation was cancelled anyway “so what’s the problem?” (There had been a glitch on the system at the time of booking and I had to speak to someone on the phone to do it manually). in the morning and on arrival everyone was very apologetic and did what they could to make my husband’s 40th birthday stay lovely, but, still, it was all added and unnecessary admin and stress. Also, for a solid portion of our stay the card systems were down so we spent ages waiting at reception to pay for anything, and couldn’t pay for drinks in the bar. So perhaps fIx your IT systems!

Super nice, helpful and friendly staff. Clean room and convenient area for us since we were visiting friends near by. short Bolt/Uber ride to most of the other place we visited. Great restaurant inside and next door..and many fun place near by.. Was highly recommended by my travel agent as well.

The hotel was nice and the food was good, just such a shame the roof terrace and the pool were closed. This was one of the reasons we chose this hotel, but to only be told this was closed a few days before our arrival was a disappointment. No offer of a refund or even discount

This was a special anniversary trip and the main reason we booked was because of the open air roof top pool. When we arrived we were told it was closed - there was no proir communication - it was a real shame . The room was nice but we didnt use the restaurant or bar preferring to eat out in the local neighbourhood where we were spoilt for choice. There was no real advantage to paying for a luxury hotel and next time I would be just as happy in a standard hotel - I went to Ironmonger row swimming pool nearby and had an excellent swim for £5.00

:) Stylish design and decor, fully equipped gym, fabulous roof top terrace with heated pool, great breakfast, the BEST staff in Christina’s bar…. Chrissy, Anna and Kevin were all fantastic and were the highlight of our stay :) :( Can’t use the pool after 12 as it’s members only which is absolutely ridiculous. I spent more in a week on my accommodation than a member spends in a year on their membership. Still can’t quite believe members are prioritised over hotel guests in this way. This really bothered me. Although all staff were very friendly, the check-in/out process was slow (I think many of the team are still training?) and I wasn’t asked for my card at checkin which resulted in being locked out of our room when returning from a long day out at 11pm. This may sound minor but at the time I was furious I had to go back downstairs when I just wanted to get indoors and relax. We weren’t given ANY information about the hotel facilities. No info on breakfast times, gym opening hours, about the restaurants or food options, the roof terrace. No info provided at check-in or in the room from what we could see (apart from a QR code with room service menus) I was also disappointed with the service in the rooftop breakfast lounge. If you sit around the corner outside it seems you’re completely forgotten about. Just generally quite sloppy service. Once, as water was poured into my glass the server spilled it but just left the puddle on the table… confusion with orders… waiting ages for coffee… we had breakfast in the hotel every day during our stay (food was great) but every time there was something sloppy with the service

We found the majority of the stay ok. The rooftop restaurant staff were quite rude on the breakfast service. The rooms were not what I booked and the phone in the kids room beeped all night.

I've stayed in many hotels in London, and twice at the Mondrian when it used to be the Curtain. I must say it's night and day - staff is very nice, friendly and efficient. Rooms and clean and quiet, beds are comfortable and everything just works. The pool access tug of war with the private club is a bit strange, but not a concern for me since I booked directly.

Loved it! Just one thing. I do not understand why you can only use the pool until 12am. Nobody was using the pool and I know the hotel also have a member club, but still you should be able to use it all day.

Hi I just wanted contact and tell you what a very pleasant experience staying at the hotel this weekend was. from checking in to check out was a completely enjoyable experience the front desk team accommodated all requests not that there was many but they were done regardless with smiles We had a couple of drinks in the bar on Saturday afternoon with hospitality team member Cristina looking after us and a young lady from Barcelona and the attention was faultless Later that evening returning to the hotel after the concert we had drinks in the bar and the evening team were also great and accommodating Overall our stay was incredibly pleasant The hotel have a very dynamic useful team working in all areas to satisfy customers So overall we had a great stay and thanks to all for a great job done and will get you to come and stay with you again

Lovely hotel. Welcoming reception and staff. We met family and went up to top floor restaurant for lunch to be told that we were unable to eat there as it was only open to members. I would have thought being a guest at the hotel would make you a member! It was practically empty but we were not allowed in. Very strange and disappointing.
