Enjoyed our stay. The room was excellent. However the whole breakfast experience and venue was underwhelming. Also the long corridors were extremely cold.

I recently enjoyed a solo stay at this lovely property and was impressed by many aspects of the experience, especially the hotel’s warm atmosphere, comfortable rooms, and the genuine moments of hospitality! The hotel itself is beautiful and welcoming, the stunning grounds as you drive in… Wow! Check-in was smooth and efficient and the scent throughout the public areas is one for me to remember for a long time! My room was spotless, comfortable, and very well presented. I loved the thoughtful welcome amenity, and as a solo traveller it was a lovely space to unwind. The bathroom was clean and equipped with everything I expected. I spent some time in the Courtyard bar lounge where Annabel looked after me with efficiency and professionalism. Drinks and menus arrived promptly, and service was seamless throughout. It’s a lovely place to relax for a pre-dinner drink and for me to catch up on emails! Dinner at the Carriage House was a highlight thanks to the wonderful host at the door, who greeted me warmly and set a fantastic tone for the evening. Food was excellent beautifully presented and served efficiently in a stunning surrounding – I love the setting and the courtyard across from the main hotel building. Breakfast offered a wide selection in Kathleen’s Kitchen, and the team worked hard to keep things moving during a busy morning in a very quirky breakfast setup and offering. Checkout was straightforward. I particularly appreciated the concierge who offered assistance with my luggage (always on the road, so never travel light!) as well as the doorman who added a genuinely warm and friendly farewell, such a lovely way to end the stay. I look forward to a return visit to enjoy this wonderful property!

From start to finish our stay was perfect. The atmosphere, the food, the comfortable rooms. But mostly the team. A special shoutout to the marketing team (Triona & Sophie) who made my daughter Mia’s visit to Santa extra special. We will be back (with the dog too!)

Lovely check in with the hot cloths. Bikes were available to cycle the estate. Pool times for kids was unfavourable - dinnertime and breakfast time. Pool itself was a lovely experience. So clean and lovely dimmed lights. Dinner in the Carriage was lovely. Breakfast was a huge disappointment for us all. My daughter wanted a pastry and was told to ho down to the pantry for one. Bacon was uneatable. Had to ask for everything from cutlery to water. Spent over an hour there mainly waiting on our hot food order. Had to ask about it as other tables were in after us and finished their hot food. The bedroom was lovely -spotless and furnished balcony. Lovely decor - would love the same room again.

Communal areas and bedroom was cold. Had to get a heater for the room Service was poor -slow to get drinks and slow at breakfast. The spa is more like a council swimming pool- jacuzzi had lots of foam in it though the steam room was excellent. Some staff were pleasant but most were disinterested - not what you’d expect in a five star resort. For the price paid I expected a lot more and I won’t be back.
