Attended a wedding, food and staff were amazing. I felt the overall music sound in the room for dinner was poor quality & noticeable by a few guests.. the music was also very poorly timed to the newly weds entrance to dinner. There was a delay with recieving my room service breakfast which was late (although costing 75 euro!) & this resulted in not being able to use spa facilities before my treatment as intended before our 4 hour drive home. Disappointing. Did not bring this to the brides attention out of choice.

When we arrived we were great by a lovely gentleman at the door. The guy that checked us in was very pleasant and gave us all the information needed. The room was beautifully decorated with everything you might need. The bed was very comfortable. There were slippers and robes. Tea and coffee making facilities. The spa, gym and swimming pool areas were very clean. The staff in the restaurant were very pleasant, professional and welcoming. The food was delicious. The house and the grounds are outstandingly beautiful and very well maintained. The decor in the rooms of the original house is out of this world and so well preserved. There was a very inviting, easy atmosphere in the hotel. I felt so comfortable. This was my first visit. I hope it won’t be my last. Well done to everyone who works so hard to provide the highest standards in Carton House

Very good, but I have stayed in the property multiple times and this stay was slightly behind the normal standards. We had a fan in our room which couldn't be fixed and an alternative room was only offered late on the second evening at which point my son just really needed to go to bed. I appreciate there was a team staying in the hotel but it shouldn't have meant the tennis courts were inaccessible for our whole stay and the pool hours were restricted. We're paying and loyal guests too. Hotel staff, as always, courteous and professional. Food excellent.
