Right across from Dubai Mall, Swissotel Al Murooj is the perfect spot if you’re looking to chill and have everything at your doorstep. The place has a great vibe, with a breakfast that’s like a mini food fest every morning. It’s the kind of hotel that gets what you need from a Dubai stay – comfort, a super handy location, and a team that’s all about making your visit stress-free and fun.

Ghazal checked us in and she was amazing. She was professional and friendly with an infectious smile. The hotel was nice and the views over the pool area were beautiful. We would absolutely stay there again. We had very easy access to the mall and Burj Khalifa. Ubers were not very much so we took an Uber to the marina area and from there were easily able to utilize the metro system for $6 per day and go anywhere in the city.

I was here in swissotel it was nice stay and amazing room and it has city views Front desk staff were amazing One of concierge gobinath he was helped me for transportation and everything its very helpfull Guest relations mariem snd superiya made us happiness Door man abdullah also Location is amazing front of dubai mall

Good location, excellent staff, old rooms

The Swissôtel Al Murooj is a well located hotel in Dubai downtown with quick access to Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa and DIFC. With Palm Jumeirah within 25-30 minutes driving distance and DXB airport within 15-20 minutes distance, it's a great starting point for exploring Dubai. Although I took full-board, we only stayed for dinner and breakfast a couple of times, as it was mostly the same each night. Other than that, Dubai has a lot of great restaurants, so it was inevitable that we would go out for dinner elsewhere most of the time. The staff is excellent, very friendly and quick to respond to requests. From the restaurant staff, to reception, housekeeping and valet, each staff member was friendly and responsive. The rooms however are old and could use a makeover to suit modern times. We were situated on the Dubai Mall side of the hotel, which can be noisy if there's a lot of traffic passing by. You can easily hear people in the hallway, which also means they can hear whatever is going on in the hotel rooms. The last days we noticed our room door did not close automatically, due to a damaged/old lock and doorframe. Although it was our responsibility to correctly close the door behind us, it is expected that this should be taken care of by maintenance or checked regularly. All in all, I have been to Swissôtel a couple of times in various countries and this has been the 'oldest' so far. If they can renovate the rooms, I will recommend it. If you need a good location in Dubai downtown, I recommend the Al Murooj, but make sure you'll request a room on the pool side to avoid noise from the outside.
