Amazing hotel suite and incredible views of the city! Also so close to Dubai mall that you can walk it there. The service was exceptional from all staff and especially from Adnan one of our room attendants. Highly recommend staying here for singles or families.

This is probably my 5th or 6th visit to Sofitel Downtown. I am always thrilled by the reception staff and they do an exceptional job. For example. I was loaded with two IDs in ALL Accor Loyalty program and my assistant has been at it to resolve with the Loyalty desk and she has been shuttled from one to other desks with avail. However, Sofitel downtown recognized me as a Silver Tier ( which I didn’t) but surprisingly no hotel stays included towards me. I am obliged to this reception associate for acknowledging my predicament. Thing is service standards steadily slide once we leave the reception. When ordered room service, the person turned up with a card swipe machine to pay up, strange thing as reception even collected additional deposit. Required me to talk to reception / room service supervisor etc. felt thoroughly unprofessional as raising a separate bill just adds admin in claim processing for a corporate traveler- a process that integrated in hotel industry for over 2 decades, seeing this in play in a hotel industry Dubai was quite shocking… good news is the feedback was taken and fixed . well I was also showered with complimentary confectionery later on and I appreciate it. Some stuff as drawers within wardrobe is not ergonomic. See photos attached, actually the housekeeping demonstrated how to open the drawers which requires specific angle of door etc.

An amazing first stay in Dubai

Really enjoyed my first visit to Dubai with family. Loved the hotel, the spacious room (Two Bedroom Apartment) with great views, the airport pickup on arrival and departure (which was included and free), all the hotel amenities (e.g. comfortable beds and shower), breakfast every morning in the restaurant, the gym, pool and spa services. Staff were very friendly and accomodating at all times (e.g. with issues and requests, hotel and gym tour, and chefs making specific items for breakfast upon request), and the hotel itself is based in an amazing location, within walking distance to several places including the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, Fountain, Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, Sky Views Observatory, and so many more within a reasonable driving distance, including Dubai International Airport. A special thank you to Dhirendra Singh from Travel Desk for all his help with purchasing tickets to attractions and places of interest. It really helped having him there and ensuring that I was able to have tickets to visit all the places that I wanted to. I would definitely stay here again!
