Great stay, restaurant service needs improvement

I enjoyed my stay at the Vivari Hotel; the rooms are fantastic! The service at the restaurant, however, is very slow. We waited 45 minutes for our breakfast, and the restaurant was not busy. We also couldn't order tapas or dessert after 21h00 as the kitchen was closed. As we worked late, this was very poor as we had to go to bed hungry.

Beautiful place with average service

The place is beautiful, the room was nice and clean and everything was perfect. We had only arrived around 9pm, and when going to the restaurant at 9:30 to order some dessert we were told that the kitchen is already closed. Room service times states that it's available until 10pm, but when calling at 21:40, we were told that we cannot order anything. The next morning at breakfast was chaos, waited over 30mins for 3 simple breakfasts with loads of confusion from the waitresses in between. Asked for earl grey tea but received black tea as an example. Our conference started at 8am, our breakfast arrived at 7:58 and we had to basically polish it within 2 minutes. The food was delicious, but service delivery had the customer feeling as if there was chaos in the kitchen although there were only about 3 or 4 tables occupied in the restaurant.

The area is good and reviving. Just unfortunate that we had ordered a cheese board as part of celebrating my husband birthday of which was filled on personal preference form but we never got it. Seems like forms filled online including spa form couldn't be retrieved.
