Review your Manu on food, it's expensive and the food is not nice at all. And the space for dining is small.

Horrible experience, ended up staying at another hotel nearby. Paid a whole extra night for no reason to check in a little earlier. Staff didn’t know what a Diamond is, totally dismissed me.

They hotel was good and calm but had problems regarding the food we had on the 15th which got me to have a running tummy, the limited tv Channels were depressing as I couldn't watch any interesting movie or sports because there's no channels for such. The stuff was super lovely especially the security guy who was on duty that evening I forgot the name he was also on duty on Friday evening told me places to be aware of in the area and safe places I can go, from the gate to the kitchen what a lovely stuff the hotel has. Overall experience could give it 7/10 due to loud noises on the corridors, lake of tv channels, fridge, some of the lights in the room were not functional, limited food menu as I'm allergic to Fish, eggs, tomato which there was tomato soup. The bedding, towels were extremely clean and fresh, even saw that I had an extra thick fleece in the closet and safe to keep my valuable assets safe.

Food and room was fine. I don't think I will make bookings to this Mercure Hotel Midrand in the future. They're failing to control the noise from those who are drinking playing music louder at the parking up until late. I struggle to sleep for two days until I called the reception. I don't think is good place for those who are there for business, because you want to rest and have a quiet night.
