The room was disappointing compared to the pictures. It smelled of cigarettes and the carpet was dirty and felt soggy. There was no bath soap provided also.

I had the great time on friday when we arrived the receptinist was very professional.I also received the excellent service from housekeeping team on Saturday and Sunday.But I believe that they can include more towels and soaps in the bathrooms.As a person who have previously worked under SA tourism and Tourism grading council I was dissapointed by that.The club next door need to respect tenants, the noise was unbearable, we only managed to sleep only around 2 AM. However because of the professionalism of the Security , Reception , housekeeping staff and the catering team ,I'm willing to visit the hotel again.But please address the issue of soaps and towel in the bathrooms just to give your clients best hotel experience.Lastly please notify your clients in advance if municipality is planning to conduct water interruption arond your area.

Great hotel. Clean rooms and good hustle free wifi. No masking in the hotel, guests not asked to sanitise when entering. Sanitizer by the lifts empty.

It was a good stay. Comfortable room. I was in room 209. Housekeeping is doing a good job the room was super clean. I suggest TV must be on the wall facing the bed not on the table . It not comfortable for watching while you on bed especially when you have a partner because when you watching a TV while you on bed you have to both sleep by a side and face one direction... Thanks.

Morning breakfast was good staff are friendly, internet was easy to connect to, Fridge was noisy so unplugged it, was in the smoking room but ash tray was taken away on first night and never brought back, But i dont really smoke so no real issues, I enjoyed the room.

I've stayed here a few times before but the room I was assigned had no working lighting except for in the bathroom and there was a convention happening that was blasting music until very late and we were placed right by it instead of on the opposite side of the hotel where we would have actually gotten some peace and quiet. Disappointing stay

My old concern is maintenance of the infrastructure needs to be improved. I just imagine the strain it has on employees as they try to set up to host a guest

Typical of a Mercure Hotel so you know what you are getting. The staff in this place are really what made it a pleasurable stay. All were very polite, helpful, attentive and had a great positive attitude no matter what their role was. The hotel is in a great location for the Gallagher Exhibition Centre although there isn't much else close by. Rooms are average size for a 3 star property however, the bathroom was a bit 'used'. The shower tiles and skin were stained from the constant use and the bathroom was looking a bit tired. The room, although simple, was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Came to midrand for a wedding, hotel was perfectly positioned 3km away. Room was clean, checking in was effortless. Pleasant stay. It's a little gem hidden in in a not so pleasant neighbourhood. Good hotel, maybe better if in a nicer part of midrand

The hotel is excellent in every way if one has to consider the rate. Rooms have minimum noise, high speed Wi-Fi and caring staff. Security at the gate amazing when attending to foreigners. Please consider fixing the online rate if I extend my stay on a visit.

Room- Clean, welcoming and secure People (employees)- very friendly and helpful The food (breakfast)- Delicious and sufficient also very healthy I loved the gift (candy) that I found in my room after a long day. It made my stay pleasant. The hotel is tidy, welcoming and offers impeccable services.

it's a nice hotel to stay in for a couple of days. What I didn't like was that there had to be paid for wifi. almost 300R for 2gb which is way overpriced. watch one tv show and your internet gb's are out in no time. very dissapointing from the hotel.

I was dissapointed firstly with the greeting a t reception but i can understand as i checked in late I also was told there was a hot watrer limit however i had no hotwater until 12.00pm and had to leave by 12.30 .had a cold shower .I made several calls to reception and to my surprise every call hadanother excuse as i felt the reception was not communicated .no hospitality in any way to make me comfortable as i waited 4 hrs for hot water .every thing was an excuse .I did stay in randburg mercure hotel

I can assure you that this is not a reflection of the high standards we strive to offer to all of our guests. The Midrand area has been under extreme pressure regarding the water reserves. City of Johannesburg has been cutting water supplies on a regular basis and at any time without prior notice. The Hotel is equipped with Water Storage tanks but if we don't get water from the Municipality we cannot run the tanks on full capacity. This also has an effect on the hot water tanks. However, the lack of communication hereof and disappointing check-in as pointed out are inexcusable and should not have been experienced as such. I can assure you that your valuable feedback will be used to address this internally, assisting us tremendously to further improve our consistency in service delivery. I sincerely hope this will not deter you from using our hotel in future as I would like to welcome you back to restore your confidence in our facilities and services.
