The hotel was nice and clean. Staff were friendly.The only unpleasant experience was that the elevator was not working and this wasn't communicated to us prior to booking in. We were on the third floor and to someone with sore joints and painful knees (which is made significantly more painful iin winter, when we stayed at the hotel)it was not easy climbing up those stairs. I would have requested a room on the first floor had I known this.

There was a day I came back at 16:00 and my room was not cleaned. The waiting time for your order during supper is frustrating, buffet would be better because there’s only one chef and the menu is not so interesting by the 3rd day you don’t know what to choose. The reception phone is never answered, you have to go there in person if you need anything. It would help if there was a manager there to overlook things and address our issues when we have issues.

1. Some lights in the room were not functioning. 2. The aircon was very loud and noisy. 3. The plug to charge your phone wasn't working. 4. Unidentified hairs in the bathroom. 5. Breakfast was fine. Will not book with Mercure again.
